I am anxious to hear something from my app. It'd be pretty great to go back to Austin.

Rejected. That's ok, probably wasn't going to move somewhere that hot anyway.

Re: Texas c/o 2017 Applicants (2013-2014 cycle)
I just have a quick question:
Looking through the fee waiver thread, I saw that some Texas residents were given non financial need fee waivers just from being Texas Residents. I go to school in Georgia, but my home is based in Texas(that's where I spend my summers).
Should I be eligible for a Texas Resident fee waiver? If so, should I email admissions explaining that and requesting one asap?

I just received my "UT EID" and after doing some scrolling, have yet to see anything about a status checker on the site. I keep seeing links to things like "parking and transportation" and a huge list re: news on campus....which is kinda screwing with me a bit, because it looks a lot like a normal (admitted) student portal.
Has anyone had any issues with their status checker as well? Figured I'd ask, thanks.

You probably logged on from the main university's site.
On the right click on "check your status" http://www.utexas.edu/law/admissions/application/

So I did this and they will tell you that you need to make sure the residency in your LSAC profile is Texas and that it will pick you up when they send out their batches of fee waivers. BUT since it is sooo close to the deadline, I would call and ask. Hope this helps.Cthon wrote:I just have a quick question:

To Cthon: this close I would probably just go ahead and apply. It sucks, but they may not get back to you in time.

I haven't heard anything (or received a status checker) yet, but I have gotten a couple alumni emails in the last few days. It's making me very jumpy...

They send a refund for the application? I'm a TX resident and saw nothing :/MnM22 wrote:Thanks!Attax wrote:Just a reminder: priority deadline for FAFSA is March 1So I did this and they will tell you that you need to make sure the residency in your LSAC profile is Texas and that it will pick you up when they send out their batches of fee waivers. I doubt they'll refund it. They waived it for all TX residents though if you had TX residency on LSAC.rion91 wrote:They send a refund for the application? Yall must have good numbers. Took nearly 3 weeks for my status checker. No emails from alumni.rion91 wrote:I submitted 2/11 and got the status checker 2/22meb1212 wrote:rion91 wrote:Any movement?
