I had a 90k offer at first (Loyola Scholar) and then contacted the office to ask them to up it, they increased to 96k, said they'll let me know about a potential full-ride offer in march (although I seem to see that they have begun offering them...)

I thought I remembered some going from 54k to 90k and from like 18k to 45k, too. But my memory is not that good from months ago.

Anyways, I had 54k but didn't attempt to get it raised. I was planning to but life happens and now it's time to leave the LA area and go back home to the 'ol PNW.

Trying to go from 22k to 90k. Ha. Good luck to me

LLS doesn't play ball w/ leveraging. I emailed somebody directly with whom I had a lengthy one-on-one convo w/ at Admitted Students day. Pretty much just said I can't go w/ the current offer, but it's my number 1 school. Still just received the generic reply that they're re-assessing the applicants who have requested higher scholarships and will let everybody know by april 30.

I submitted the application for financial aid, and was surprised at how short it was.

So...I'm leaning heavily toward Loyola right now (although Pepp's a tease...). I thought I remembered seeing an e-mail or something where there was a mention of a Loyola admitted/attending students facebook group/page but now I can't find it. Is this really a thing or do I have Loyola and Hastings confused?

I applied either late Sept or the first week of Oct and didn't hear until Jan. I wouldn't panic. You did apply late, so they may have too many offers out at the moment. I would expect an admit is coming, though. I think schools are hoping to get a feel of how there classes will shape up with the upcoming deposit deadlines. If they are reluctant to issue more offers now I bet that will change in a few weeks. This is a wonky cycle and I think admissions depts are trying to plan carefully and with tact.

I started due to the fact that I'm running out of time with impending deadlines at other schools. I'm pretty set on Loyola, but I want to be sure to minimize my debt. It seems as though they plan to "re-evaluate" scholarship amounts after they know who is accepting and who isn't. My hope is that they pour leftover offers into those who have accepted, but who knows...

Yes, some people - not all - are required to complete a summer program before starting 1L fall.

I have no idea, but I think it's something they require people to do not the other way around.

Definitely still considering. Honestly, if it weren't for the stips, I'd probably just attend. But I'm still annoyed by them. Such a TTT thing.

Sent my inquiry last week and just got denied : | Oh well, there was no harm in trying and I'm at least grateful that they responded promptly. Good luck to others -- I'm curious if anyone's able to successfully raise their 96k scholly's and what kind of stats they have.

Yes to Dodger Stadium. Not sure about ASD since I work, unless I can take a half day. Curious about the Dodger Stadium event since apparently there isn't going to be a game that day like I first thought.
