10/2- here. Visited my buddy in nashville, and got a chance to visit the school. Seemed like just about as happy as a law school can be.

I fear a storm of rejections is only days away.

I got an email from a current student from my state who went to my undergrad today, which I thought was a nice personal touch. This + the black box makes me feel like Vandy is really wooing us <3

It really does. From the moment I interviewed with their alumni it felt like they really wanted me.

Wow, Vanderbilt is really on top of their game! I received an email from a 2L from my state who is also a member of the Black Law Students Association (which I plan on joining). They really put in work, haha.

I agree that Vanderbilt is really on top of their game. I have already withdrawn from higher ranked schools but I am keeping the Vanderbilt option open. I can't wait to find out what kind of scholarship I might get, and I also can't wait to visit the campus.

Honestly not saying this to be snarky but is Vandy the only school that is putting you guys in contact with alums/former students? UT has put me in contact with three people and I have received calls from Minnesota and USC students as well. It's a nice thing I agree but it's not that uncommon.

And definitely agreed that Vandy seems like a great school. Can't wait to visit!

Thus far, yes. Which is another reason I appreciate it, since I sent all my apps out a month ago.

Yep, Vandy is the only school to give me additional attention thus far. Not saying this to be snarky but Vandy/Minnesota/Texas/USC are fairly low ranked schools so that's a big part of why they have to give admits special treatment to woo them. Vandy is the lowest ranked school I applied to so no, I don't expect to get any more special contacts this cycle. I don't see why T10s would bother to expend the resources. (I know T10s do it for the exceptional candidates but I am not one of them.)

This is not true. I have been contacted by each of the T10s I've gotten into with emails and phone calls from students . I am not an exceptional student. I am pretty sure they do this for most everyone. Maybe not the T5 tho
