Nothing really all that special. I had a big leadership post in college and am currently in my 2nd year of TFA, so good softs but nothing ridiculous. Good luck, I'm sure you'll get some good news!Cicero76 wrote:Numbers twin.... did you have something that made you special? But in all seriousness, congrats! And as a lifelong Californian I can state with confidence that you will love Palo Alto and the rest of the Golden Statepolareagle wrote:Ha! Touche! I got the status checker finally, but now I'm incomplete.TrustInMusic wrote:Finally went complete.
Here's to the waiting period!
I specifically told my UG dean to email me when he was done. Paid the 35 bucks to courier the statement to stanford directly.TripTrip wrote:I got the status checker finally, but now I'm incomplete.TrustInMusic wrote:Finally went complete.

I should have known my UG dean would forget to send in the certifying statement.
early october.... same feeling...Any September completes (preferably in my #s range) still in limbo? I'm trying to be positive, but if I don't hear anything by the end of the week, it'll be hard for me to feel that an acceptance is coming.
Not sure your numbers but September complete here. I'm trying to stay positive hoping that my rejection comes tomorrow. The sooner the better.RSterling wrote:Any September completes (preferably in my #s range) still in limbo? Yup, submitted day one. At this point I think I'm just hoping for a waitlist...RSterling wrote:Any September completes (preferably in my #s range) still in limbo? +1 but trying to stay positive because it seems their decisions don't follow a strict order as much as the others. Or maybe I'm delusional.zabava wrote:early october.... same feeling...Any September completes (preferably in my #s range) still in limbo? I know some schools will ask professors who may not typically be on the adcom to read certain applications, but I'm not sure if that is the case w/ Stanford. I am pretty confident based on what I've read that the number of adcom members that read an application varies between applicants so that could be affecting the decision order.shakespeare wrote:So, is it that they are giving applications to individual professors or an admissions committee? Is that why admissions are trickling in seemingly random order?

I'm a September complete as well and still haven't heard anything back yet, although I heard back from Y and H, though, so I can't complain too much.RSterling wrote:Any September completes (preferably in my #s range) still in limbo? Numbers twin, also completed in September, also haven't heard anything. I'm getting very close to caving in and buying some winter clothing since it looks like I'll be spending the next 3 years in the Northeast instead of Palo Alto.RSterling wrote:Any September completes (preferably in my #s range) still in limbo? I can only picture this sentence being said in conjunction with this dance:hdivine wrote: I'm a September complete as well and still haven't heard anything back yet, although I heard back from Y and H, though, so I can't complain too much.
Mad jelly about h/y but it gives me hope that you haven't heard from Stanford.hdivine wrote:I'm a September complete as well and still haven't heard anything back yet, although I heard back from Y and H, though, so I can't complain too much.RSterling wrote:Any September completes (preferably in my #s range) still in limbo? Lol, five minutes after I got into NYU I was freaking out I accidently hit the urm button, finally figured out lsac saves your completed apps...khaleesi wrote:Wow. I spent all day hoping to avoid a hold from Harvard, and instead I get a voicemail from Dean Deal. SO THRILLED. Don't ask me how I managed it, because I have no idea (I literally went to my LSAC app to see if I'd accidentally checked off a URM or something).
Now there's a charge.
