I was actually in Austin a few weeks ago and had a leasing agent show me some places in hyde park (most of them around 38th). FWIW I asked her how fast they fill up and she said I still had alot of time, she had alot of places still avaliable at various complexes.
What were the price ranges on these places? Just curious.
$850-$900. decent sized studios around 500 sq feet.
That's encouraging. The triangle apartments seem to be closer to the $1300 range for a 1bedroom.. sounded pricey.

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. It's just mildly annoying when someone posts on a thread where obviously most of the people are waiting minute-by-minute for an answer without giving the relevant numbers so that we can at least get a sense of what the school is doing.

Otherwise, congrats!

Please lets not have this thread turn into Harvard's thread where that argument has taken over

Thanks :) It's definitely high up on my list right now. I'm still waiting to hear from a bunch of schools, so we'll see. A bit of scholarship money would definitely ensure I go to UT, but with my numbers I'm not really expecting anything..

In-state tuition is like a 20k/yr scholarship compared to similarly ranked schools! And UT seems pretty generous this year. :)

Congrats! Just out of curiosity, has your status checker updated at all? Mine hasn't and I'm starting to believe my phone call was just a figment of my imagination lol

Status checker didn't say anything yesterday and I haven't had a chance to log in today, but I got a congratulation email this morning (I live overseas, so no phone call). Good luck to you!

I am pretty sure we've established that the status checker is pretty meaningless for this school...

Fiesta was in there, but I was shocked (SHOCKED!) that there was no mention of BBQ.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
