I was looking at apts in the area and I heard that a lot of them near campus begin filling up by the end of this month! Have any of you heard the same thing?

I was actually in Austin a few weeks ago and had a leasing agent show me some places in hyde park (most of them around 38th). FWIW I asked her how fast they fill up and she said I still had alot of time, she had alot of places still avaliable at various complexes.

What were the price ranges on these places? Just curious.

$850-$900. decent sized studios around 500 sq feet.

That's encouraging. The triangle apartments seem to be closer to the $1300 range for a 1bedroom.. sounded pricey.

Not even so much as a fake congrats? Right down to business it is.. At median LSAT and below 25th GPA non-urm went to UT for undergrad.
ETA: my bad - I went complete/got the status checker email on 1/24

Sorry, I didn't mean to be rude. It's just mildly annoying when someone posts on a thread where obviously most of the people are waiting minute-by-minute for an answer without giving the relevant numbers so that we can at least get a sense of what the school is doing.

Thanks It's definitely high up on my list right now. I'm still waiting to hear from a bunch of schools, so we'll see. A bit of scholarship money would definitely ensure I go to UT, but with my numbers I'm not really expecting anything..

In-state tuition is like a 20k/yr scholarship compared to similarly ranked schools! And UT seems pretty generous this year.

Fiesta was in there, but I was shocked (SHOCKED!) that there was no mention of BBQ.
