I wouldn't be concerned yet. I went complete just a few days after you (RD as well) and just got my first status update today.
Would love to have a decision before Christmas. Hopefully that happens.

I did apply early decision, yes. I'm really hoping that Georgetown brings us all some good news before Christmas.JohnMarshall17 wrote:Did you apply ED? Wish I knew to pay attention to my updates. I don't know if I'm on my second or third one right now. Either way, I've been compulsively checking my campus mailbox.

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Hi all,
I just received an interview invitation e-mail from the admissions office. I had no idea law schools were conducting interviews with applicants. Based on the e-mail, it is optional and has no negative impacts if I reject an interview. Does anyone had interviews experiences with GULC? How was it and should I accept their interview offer? It seems like the admissions office will hold my application until I'm done with the interview if I accept it and if I reject it, they will proceeds my application review. Any thoughts and suggestions are appreciated.
thanks,

I had the same e-mail and decided to do the interview. It seems like they are inviting those that are on the fringe (not auto admits or rejects). I would say doing the interview should be a no brainer regardless of any potential delay in the decision making process. Maybe if you are a horrible interviewer that spontaneously vomits in every interview could you reason to not do the interview. But since they are not requiring you to fly out to D.C. you should take this as an opportunity to strengthen the case for your application. Mine was with an alumni and it actually turned out to be an extremely rewarding experience that has made Georgetown one of my top choice. If I choose not to do it I would have always wondered whether my decision had adversely affected the outcome of my application.yiruri83 wrote:Hi all,

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I would say to definitely take the chance to interview. According to their website, Georgetown interviews candidates they wish to know more about before making a decision (this is on the instructional page for alumni wishing to get involved.) It will likely not affect you negatively to decline the interview, but if you have a great personality that can provide some additional depth and character to your application, it will only help you, in my opinion.yiruri83 wrote:Hi all,

thanks,
I had my interview last week with an alumna of the program. It lasted about 45 minutes. She asked some questions about my resume and interest in GULC. Then, we chatted about her experiences and any questions I had for her about the law school. If you're outside of D.C., you'll be match with an alum unless you are in a remote location, where they will do a Skype interview. Overall, my interview was relaxed and conversational. We'll see how much it paid off when the envelope arrives!
Good luck!

Thanks for your thoughts!!! I live in Northern VA so I traveling to DC, if necessary, is not a problem. I was just worried about getting my application on hold...it looks like some people on this forum had waited more than 10 days to hear back from the interviewers...but I guess it is worthy to take the interview and sell myself.
Good luck to you all!!

Especially if you are willing to travel to DC I don't think you will have to wait that long. It seems as though those that have waited (correct me people if I am wrong) have been distant from D.C. I live in Utah and my Alumni is from NY but agreed to do the interview when he was in town for business. Even then I only had to wait a little over a week.yiruri83 wrote:Thanks for your thoughts!!! Did anyone who was rejected already get the invite to interview? My numbers are unimpressive so I just wanted to see if this boded well for me or if they just wanted to get my hope up.

I think conventional wisdom is that interview invites are for borderline applicants, so consider it a good thing that they didn't reject you, and that you're still in the game! If you look back in this thread, I believe there are a few folks who interviewed but ultimately got dinged/deferred.rufus&miles wrote:Did anyone who was rejected already get the invite to interview? Also, checking in! ED splitter, first complete 11/14, update 11/16, interview invite 11/27. Best of luck to everyone, and congrats to those who already got in!

I had an interview two weeks ago today that I thought went well and a status update the day after. No movement since and no mail. When should I start to panic?

Re: Georgetown c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
Was invited to an interview with an alum, interview was on 11/20 had an update on 11/21 and another update yesterday 11/28 (not sure if there was another update inbetween 11/21 and 11/28 I didn't check on the holiday)!
Is this a good sign? I haven't heard anything yet... If so, do they snail mail all acceptance letters or is there a chance I can get an email?
Also anyone have a take on this? I submitted regular decision but app went in way early on 10.18.
