Do they always send acceptance emails?

In my case, I got the snail mail, and then a couple of emails the day after. My status checker had said ND never releases decisions via email or telephone, though, so it's interesting that Lvaughn got one.

This morning my status checker said "Decision Rendered"

Then I got an acceptance email @ 4:30!

Soooo does that mean that I am not accepted? lol. I was told my decision was made on Tuesday.

If they said that the decision was coming via snail mail, I wouldn't worry yet. Just hope for the big envelope in the mail!

My status went decision made on 2/16. The admissions packet came on 2/21, and the emails showed up the day after.

Given that the regular admissions cycle is nearing an end and many successful applicants are now weighing their options, ND wants to get the good news to applicants ASAP. This is just speculation, but it could explain why ND suddenly switched to email notifications of accepted applicants yesterday.

As someone who is on Notre Dame's waitlist, I just wanted to encourage everyone who has been admitted to carefully weigh their options and look at other schools.

snail mail, sadly. my status changed to "decision made" Thursday the 23rd and got it in the mail today...small envelope discouraged me but lo and behold it was a waitlist, which includes information on a form you need to fill out to be considered at all. good luck

Just got my first movement update to 2/29 after going complete on 1/18...I havent been stalking this thread like I do others...does any know roughly how long after the first update do we see a decision made update??
