Fiancé said no. Location an issue.
Your fiance would rather be in New Haven than in Cambridge? That is novel.
Meh Boston is overrated. New Haven is perfectly fine for 3 years and NYC is also possible for occasional weekend trips...

Does anyone have any thoughts on what the best course of action would be? Perhaps ask NYU for an extension, or ask Columbia to hurry up? (Don't want to piss Columbia off, though...)
I emailed NYU and asked for an extension. That was more than a week ago, and I still haven't heard back with an answer, so you might want to cover all your bases by asking NYU and seeing if Columbia could work with this new deadline.

Ha! Yes. But it's a nearer commute to NYC from Norwalk (or thereabouts). Plus, Yale's worth it.

Linzer, I and others are probably on some overarching "make them wait" list that was sent out by the LSAC.

No one has a opinion about what to wear to the interview? Are we all enemies now? I just got the list of the types of things that were asked about last year from my student contact. Nice to know we may be asked policy questions. I am 99% certain I am going to be subject to a quiz on the field I am in.

Did your student contact just recently email you? When I got the call telling me I'm a finalist I was told I'd be contacted, but I still haven't been.

For what to wear I think either of the two options you mentioned earlier are fine. If you have a suit, wear it, but I wouldn't go out and buy one for this (granted you probably will need a suit at some point anyways so if you don't have any dramatic weight loss/gain plans in mind it probz wouldn't be a bad investment).

Yesterday. If you want, you can PM your e-mail address and I can send you the list. It is an attachment.

Me too lol. I'm putting off buying new suits as long as possible. My current two are too big.

Yes, we are enemies now! :P

God, that interview sounds terrifying. I have found in previous job interviews that the better dressed I am the more mentally prepared I feel, so I would probably do a suit, but to each their own.

Um...every person I saw last year was in a suit. But it could have just been my timing.

I'd think protocol dictates you wear a suit when asking someone for a gift of well over a hundred thousand dollars. Looking like you didn't care very much would be an unfortunate reason to miss the scholarship.

Yeah, if you have experience in a certain field, I guess they expect you to be knowledgeable about the laws dealing with that field.

Sent a letter basically saying that NYU is my 1st choice but I have this other full scholarship in the T14, anything they can do?

Lets see what happens.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
Just kidding ... it's still FREE!
