Yeah, i am just used to paying $600 for my own room and bathroom in a rather large apartment in Davis during undergrad lol. 900 for a teeny tiny 250 square foot room seems crazy compared to that LOL.

Re: UC Hastings 2011
you don't have to live in the tower, though. there might be good deals to be found elsewhere.Mike088 wrote:Yeah, i am just used to paying $600 for my own room and bathroom in a rather large apartment in Davis during undergrad lol. 900 for a teeny tiny 250 square foot room seems crazy compared to that LOL.
but yeah, not probably nothing as cheap as davis' housing. then again, it about evens out considering hastings' tuition is like 2k less?

Re: UC Hastings 2011
Right here, I've got LEOP written all over me. After reading the updates to the 2009 employment data thread (http://www.top-law-schools.com/forums/v ... 1&t=150681), I'm realizing that Hastings is the only option for the bay area. Has everyone checked out the numbers for USF and SCU? It's required reading to anyone that is applying at those schools (I applied, wish I had seen those graphs first), and it's unbelievably freaking bad. Looks like it's Hastings, or Lewis and Clark for me.ProfitsProphets wrote:Any other LEOP hopefuls still in the abyss?
FYI, I've been complete since 2/22 and I have not heard a peep out of Hastings yet. Doesn't seem too unusual, except that many on here are getting waitlisted... makes me think that I'm about to get dinged.

Re: UC Hastings 2011
2/22 is a really late complete date, so it makes sense that you have to wait a lot longer. They go through applications first of the people who applied earlier, so waiting this long isn't necessarily a bad thing. Good luckCapitol hillbilly wrote:Right here, I've got LEOP written all over me. Yeah, one can never really know their methodology, I suppose. Some people have to wait, while others receive notice rather quickly. And what does being waitlisted really mean..."I won't admit you now, but maybe later." Who knows...

How many apps do you think Hastings still have to review? 100's or more? Or does anyone think they are nearly done reviewing them?

Applied LEOP and went complete early March. Got the waitlist email 2 days ago. It didn't mention anything regarding LEOP, though... I'm assuming I'm waitlisted for regular admission.ProfitsProphets wrote:Any other LEOP hopefuls still in the abyss?

Long-time lurker here. I applied LEOP at the beginning of January (went complete 1/5). Still waiting to hear back. If I get in, Hastings is where I'm going. Fo' sho'.Any other LEOP hopefuls still in the abyss?

Re: UC Hastings 2011
Hang in there everyone still waiting. I applied late, so I haven't been waiting as long as some of you. Applied 3/1, complete 3/2. Let's just say I'm honored that Hastings has had my app this long. I'm a LEOP candidate, and I know greater emphases is placed on non-numerical factors, but I really bombed the test. I was told during last year's cycle it would take a "miracle" to get accepted with my score. I was also told "no top-tier law school is going to touch that score." so while I wait I continue to prepare for the 10/1 LSAT, barring some unforeseen Miracle.llamaonastick wrote:Long-time lurker here. Does anyone know what type of amenities hastings offers? My undergrad had free bus transportation + $10/sem gym access. Anything additional from the city of SF?

Are we allowed to bring anybody with us tomorrow or is it just students only? I don't really feel like driving to frisco and back by myself tomorrow lol.

You are 100% certain of this? Determines whether or not I quit my temp job, lol. Don't we have a list of amenties offered by the school? Berkeley UG gave us a list of what we would get as students.Lasers wrote:no, you don't have to be.rebelx13 wrote:is thbut do you have to be a tower resident or a student to use their gym?sfGmall wrote:none of that. I don't usually post here, but I just got the acceptance call about 10 min ago. I'm in through LEOP! I applied late in the cycle (at the deadline), so I hope this gives hope to those who are still waiting. Good Luck!
