Re: Temple 2011
anyone else getting any info on scholarships? i got a 20K merit scholarship from villanova today and want to start my negotiation email to temple for reconsideration of my award. i'm wondering if the timing would be wise now, if temple is running low on funds.

Does anyone know Temple's residency tuition requirement? Are Temple students eligible for in-state tuition after their first year?

Acceptance package came with no mention of money. Oh well, it was a "withdraw" either way.

Re: Temple 2011
Arrived in Philly today to visit Villanova, who accepted me, and Temple, who was yet to make a decision.
I just checked my status only to discover that I have been waitlisted by Temple. Making matters worse, the rankings were released today, and 'Nova dropped to 84 and Temple is at 61.
I'm not hypersensitive about the rankings, but man oh man... not my day. I had an appointment to visit Temple tomorrow morning for a visit... I don't even know what to say.

to those who sent scholarship/award reconsideration correspondence to temple's fin aid office, did you get any response from the office or was it completely ignored?

I got an email response in about it a week. It was a very polite and considerate 'No'.

Got my second complete date on 3/7. I don't really know if I'll get in, but I have some other solid options, so I'm just relaxing and waiting for whatever will come my way.oreo3405 wrote:Anyone still waiting on Temple??

Ugh, I'm still complete as of 1/14, just emailed them an updated Resume last week and switched to the PT program since I have a job here now. I just would like to know either way at this point.Justathought wrote:Got my second complete date on 3/7. Re: Temple 2011
I got my "preliminary" financial aid package today. I was surprised to receive a "Temple U Grant" of $1,640.00 for 2011-12. As an in-state resident, I know scholarship money is hard to come by.
My question is did anyone else receive this, and could I perhaps negotiate this to a higher figure?

I'm not sure exactly haha...I'll probably wear a dress shirt and pants, because I'm used to wearing that at work every day. I'm not sure if that's overdressing, but I'd rather over-dress than under-dress I supposeEvrydyhonestliar wrote:+1 What are we supposed to wear? haha I'm girling out on you guys sorry!philswfc2008 wrote:Who's excited for the Open House tomorrow? Hey all,
I'm currently a 1L at Temple. I'm somewhat bored, so I was wondering if anyone had any questions. I haven't read through the whole thread (33 pages.
) so I don't know if there are any burning questions anyone has.
