I've given up trying to figure out patterns with UVA. Before everyone who was dinged/WL got updates, so it looked good to stay put. But someone who got in yesterday or the day before said they she had a ton of updates before hearing. So I don't see how we can speculate anymore. :?

Same here...but I feel like it's a good thing to not be updating if you're not, considering that super-awesome LSAT score of yours.

:( Sorry guys. Looks like UVA is getting some decisions end before the holidays, too.

Did you just receive these decision emails, or did they come earlier in the day?

Hmm, I hope you mean staying put on any date for a while, not necessarily the first date. I was pending/UR 11/09 but then 11/19 and then 11/23, and haven't heard anything since. Hopefully this isn't an auto-WL for me, although I feel one coming

reading about updates or lack thereof on TLS used to really scare me (a month ago when i was first on the site) and now status checking is just a comical and innocuous way of wasting time for me. i got into cornell a few weeks ago and prior to that i couldn't even access my status checker when i tried to (couldn't "remember my password", asked for the security question, they told me i didn't ever make one, tried the original letter/number combo, didn't work, didn't send PW to my email, i gave up.) for a few weeks i thought they already rejected me and forgot to tell me about it, but then i got in. hope this answers your q, and i know cornell is not UVA but i'm just trying to make myself feel better because i doubt i will get in to UVA. good luck to you!

"We have carefully reviewed your application for admission. I regret to inform you that we are unable to offer you a place in the entering class.

We expect to receive over 7,500 nonresident applications and 650 resident applications for the 350 seats in the entering class. This is likely to be the most difficult year on record in which to gain admission to Virginia Law. This is especially true for nonresidents.

I hope you excuse the informality of this communication, but I thought you might appreciate speed over formality. In addition, we are communicating almost exclusively via email now in an attempt to reduce our reliance on paper.

We appreciate your interest in Virginia Law and wish you the very best in your legal education and professional career."

Wait there is an actual "Under review" status? Not just the complete/pending review/decision?

I kind of want to withdraw before they send me my decision. I got into a school I much prefer and want to try and avoid having to read disappointing rejections or WLs. Plus, I don't want to give UVA the satisfaction of rejecting me
Do we just email their admissions@... account to withdraw?

I've been complete since 9/14 and no movement. No rejection I guess is a good sign. Would it be worth it to send a why UVA now or would that just push me to the back of the line?

Still at pending/review at 11/4. So jealous of your guys movement. No updates when a new LOR was sent 11/9, nor when I sent a Why UVA supplemental at the end of November.

With my stats and OOS, I'm pretty sure I'll be waitlisted. Just waitlist me know and spare me the agony of checking the status checker compulsively!

Also stuck at 11/4. It feels like it has been forever.

Nope, there was never a simple "Under Review" - I think this is their under review status.

In other news....shock....another update. I've gone Pending Review Decision 11/29 -> 12/14->12/19....

Still at UR 11/7, this can't be a good sign (OOS, RD, 3.5/174.)

Same. Mine went from Pending Review/Decision 12/6 to Pending Review/Decision 12/20, so I feel like I must be UR if my date is changing, but it never said so.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
