I know it's been asked a while back, but just wondering if any ED's that were held have heard anything? Just curious.

At least you guys heard something. I haven't heard a word. Should I contact them? Am I the only ED left with nothing?

You probably should have heard something by now. I would definitely contact them.

I'm getting worried. I haven't heard a peep since I submitted/went complete in November.

OK, sent them a letter subtley prompting them for an explanation on the lack of a decision while focusing on a Why Texas approach and letting them know I was happy to provide additional materials to help them make a decision. I wonder why I got left behind the ED crowd? Very weird.

I may be mistaken, but I think they said they'll have decisions out by end of January for ED? If it helps, I got an acceptance call on 30 Jan, two years ago, so there's still hope.

Doesn't this imply you are ED? (non binding for UT)

Totally glazed over the fact that it was non-binding, so I didn't check it on my application.

Hmm. I would think they consider all files that are "postmarked" before Nov 1 as ED...

I think this still applies to you: The Admissions Committee will attempt to provide a response on all completed Early Decision applications by the end of January. Some applicants will be held for further consideration. You will be notified in writing if your application is held.

GL!

So for the ones that got the hold email, the hold was our "decision"? So I might have to wait till April?! :( :(

i don't think so. i believe the held email stated that you would be put into the RD applicant pool rather than the EA pool.

So if we're moved to the regular pool, doesn't that mean we are on the same decision time line as the regular decision pool which would be a decision anytime before April?

Yep and it said not to look at the hold as a favorable or unfavorable decision. It's neither a rejection nor a waitlist you are just considered an rd applicant.

UT received my app jan. 8, but I am not yet complete. Should I email/call?

Everything has been quiet at UT from what I've seen. Other than my complete email I haven't heard a word.

EDIT: took me about 2 1/2 weeks to get my complete/status checker email.

Barbecuing, horseback riding, herding cattle, various other stereotypical Texan activities...
