4.0 163 OOS. Thought my GPA would help me more with UGA, but i've been in review since December. Anyone know when the last wave of acceptances usually goes out? Or when we should know if we've been waitlisted?

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
I think I was admitted... Though I didn't get a formal admissions e-mail. Also, my status checker still says hold. For all of you accepted, did you get a "you're accepted" e-mail and/or did your status checker update? All I got was an Admitted Students Page e-mail (which I read to presume I had already been accepted prior to that e-mail) and then an invite to a reception.

That's the one! My status still says on hold as well, don't worry, you're in.MattThiessen wrote:I think I was admitted... Though I didn't get a formal admissions e-mail. I got 2 e-mails. One said that I was accepted, the other was an invite to the king & spalding admitted students reception. My status is also still listed as held, so you're good to go =)

I hear ya. ASW for a ton of relatively similarly-ranked/regarded schools (i.e. IUB, Wisconsin, Georgia, Iowa, and Notre Dame to name a few) are all on the same weekendSandro wrote:kinda sucks IUb and UGA's ASW are the same day.

Talk about a popular date - it will definitely be hard to choose which one to go to.

Ok, that makes me feel a little better. I thought my application might be stuck to the back of someone's that they already dinged/accepted. I mean, my LSAT is a beneath their 165 wall, but I thought I'd at least hear something by now...You e-mail or call them? I'm thinking about doing that a little later today...tchan4269 wrote:yeeep. been UR since 12/1. . . . . . .enida10 wrote:Anyone waiting ~15 weeks and no word? I'm feeling bummed and left out now...

nah, i haven't gotten that bored at the office just yet, but i'm sure that's coming. i also know how notoriously slow UGA is with all of its grad apps, not just law, so i haven't gotten that motivated to pester them. let me know if you do and the result.enida10 wrote:Ok, that makes me feel a little better. Hi! Miss Neurosis again. So I called them, and they only told me what I already knew. They said to just watch my status checker because they make decisions daily and that not hearing anything from them (despite applying in November) was pretty common.
So, despite the fact that I hate the waiting game, I'll keep playing.

In at UGA since 2 weeks ago via e-mail, and offered in-state tuition equalizer a few days ago.
With the equalizer and the ease of becoming an in-state resident, I'm strongly considering UGA, assuming I decide to go to law school, that is...
165/3.51 GPA from Temple, state college in Philly, 2009 graduate.
Anyone care to provide housing advice?

As far as your specific question, do you have any preferences where you live? Would you prefer close to campus? Close to downtown (which is merely steps away from the law school)? Away from the school to possibly distance yourself from the younger crowd and downtown area? Would you prefer condos, apartments, or townhouses? Would you prefer a gated community or an individual house? What kind of price range are you looking at? There are tons of different housing options, and if you think you may can narrow it down a little, I can definitely help suggest some places.

Re: Georgia 2011 Applicants
Just got into UGA about a week ago, does anyone know what the general numbers are for those who receive scholarships after in-state equalizer? I'm an in-state resident with decent numbers (168/3.75) and have heard the scholly notifications come a couple weeks after acceptances. Thanks!
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
