I've gotten in at a few t30s already with more money, but I like Pittsburgh and would like living there. I'm planning to negotiate so we'll see. Worst case they don't match and I take one of those offers. Like I said - hard not to sound like a dick right now.

I'm 166/3.75, and Pitt offered me 14k/yr dependent upon a 3.0 average.

Ouch, you should be getting more. Pitt rarely gives full rides to non URMs though, so try to get what you realistically can.

Ouch, you should be getting more. Pitt rarely gives full rides to non URMs though, so try to get what you realistically can.

This. Barring substantial mitigating factors (such as URM status), 14k is basically the cap for merit scholarships.

Indeed - reading through earlier comments in this thread had lowered my expectations. But I was still holding out hope.

What's Pitt's curve too? 3.0 stipulation also seemed high to me at first glance.

Mm I don't know that many 3Ls, so I can't say for certain regarding graduation. My own personal experience has been pretty positive though. The firm I worked for during my first summer basically told me that if I don't find a job that I really want (because they know I want to work in the government), they'll give me an office and some work after graduation.

I know Pitt's CSO has generally gotten flack in the past. However, we just replaced the head of the department, and Don seems much more energetic. In this year alone, I feel like CSO has been a much bigger presence in terms of throwing mixers and panels with local practitioners. They're also holding a panel I think this week regarding non-traditional law school employment.

Correction: Chipotle was once owned partially by McDonalds, but they gave up their shares a few years ago. QDoba was, and still is, a homegrown Denver success story (and yes, the best shit around.)

Chipoltle is my favorite of the two. Its funny that at Purdue we have both and they are right next to each other.

In more relevant new got the acceptance letter yesterday. 8k per year 3.0 stip which I found slightly disappointing as higher ranked schools have offered more love. Also disappointing was the money clip. While neat it was not the ZOMG AWESOME others had hyped it up to be. Not disappointing was the fact that my acceptance came with a personalized hand written note which was very nice and the first of my cycle.

If after visiting Pitt i decided I seriously want to go there I may negotiate scholly but I'm happy and content for now.
