Does NYU typically only update their admitted students webpage once a week?
I'm a 177/3.6 that applied end of December and I'm beginning to get very nervous. I also haven't heard from Emory, USC or UCLA who I know have gotten back to a bunch of people in my time frame. I have a handful of good acceptances, so I'm not totally freaking out, but I'm a little freaking out.

Who'd you hear from? - Post-December LSAT Applicants
I have been checking my Michigan Status Checker and the last updated date keeps changing. Now it has todays date...
Anybody know if this means I might get a decision soon or have the michigan thread?

i have the same exact numbers as you. i went complete at the end of january and received my acceptance letter last week from NYU i don't think you need to worrywjnahill wrote:Does NYU typically only update their admitted students webpage once a week?

Thanks, I hope you're right. Part of what's worrying me is that people with similar numbers and complete dates keep getting in before me. I don't think there is anything too wrong with my application, I've gotten into Columbia and 2 other top-10s, so I'm not sure what the deal is.
Please let me in NYU! Please!

Apparently a letter came for me at home from Cornell telling me they'd wave the application deadline? wtf?
Are they that desperate this year?

NYT reported that they are experiencing a 40% + application boost this year. So, no, I don't think they are desperate this year.td6624 wrote:Apparently a letter came for me at home from Cornell telling me they'd wave the application deadline? wtf?

Well LSN says they haven't yet rejected anyone with my LSAT score... but it's not extraordinary so I don't really get it.
It seems like I should apply, but the prospect of living in Ithaca for three years is vastly unappealing to me. And those letters never really seem to indicate anything at all. If it had come two months ago I wouldn't have given it a second thought.

I don't think that is the case this year. Apparently applications are up 50%.td6624 wrote:Apparently a letter came for me at home from Cornell telling me they'd wave the application deadline? wtf?

+1. I lived there in 6th grade, just for 6th grade, and that was pretty god-awful.

hey folks, quick question: if GW did not include scholarship info in its admissions mailing, does that mean that they did not offer a scholarship?

I'm wondering this too. I saw one person say they were in with $$$ but no one else...shaps6 wrote:hey folks, quick question: if GW did not include scholarship info in its admissions mailing, does that mean that they did not offer a scholarship?

Yes. But it doesn't necessarily mean they won't offer one later when yields decline the offer and more money is available. I'm pretty sure.shaps6 wrote:hey folks, quick question: if GW did not include scholarship info in its admissions mailing, does that mean that they did not offer a scholarship?

Yep. Unfortunately, since I'm in the same situation...they'll have limited scholarships available once people start to withdraw...shaps6 wrote:hey folks, quick question: if GW did not include scholarship info in its admissions mailing, does that mean that they did not offer a scholarship?

From what I understand, all major scholarships are offered in the admissions packet. You might get small ones later though.

Looks like I'm going to re-read my packet... then withdraw. I am too poor for them.

Berkeley - complete Jan 11, in by phone call Jan 18
NYU - complete Jan 26, in by snail mail Feb 6
Stanford - complete Feb 3 (late recommendation), in by phone call Feb 10
Retook Sep LSAT in Dec, and accepted at Berekely and NYU with 1 LOR, for anyone who questions whether schools really mean it when they say 0-1 LOR required (which I did, but my second writer didn't get hers in until Feb SECOND)
