She is officially an HLS admit now u know, so she has a new TLS name and persona. May be u should move on?FuriousDuck wrote:You know, she probably just has a life/had a round of midterms. It's generally not a good idea to get too distressed when people disappear off an Internet forum for like two days.LEPWU wrote:Hey you guys! I was dinged long ago but still enjoy keeping tabs on this thread, wishing you all the best, hoping for JS1s and JS2s for everyone still waiting so anxiously...
Quick question: anyone know where scoobers has been? (It's crazy how reading these threads for MONTHS ON END, even as a for-the-most-part-lurker, can make a TLSer feel like part of a real community.) Anyways, when such a "familiar face" like scoobers falls off the radar screen I get worried! Scoobers: you out there? You OK?

I talked to her today. She's fine, just very busyLEPWU wrote:Scoobers: you out there? You OK?
This shit has got to stop. This rumor has gone around a few times. She has not gotten into HLS yet. She'll let the thread know when/if it happens. (Or, as she would say, when she gets her WL).Black_Swan wrote:She is officially an HLS admit now u know, so she has a new TLS name and persona. May be u should move on?![]()

Well, if you want to get your hopes up there were JS2s on the 20th last year...chneyo wrote:Tiny avatar, big heart. <3 <3 <3phillywc wrote:I don't like you or your tiny avatar.Black_Swan wrote:See, she just came out!
Also, I like the sound of a Thursday JS2... Not the end of the week where I'd get silly (after all, still have to at least show up to work Friday)... Not the beginning of the week when I'm working on my TPS Reports... Yeah, a Thursday JS2 sounds just right.

Just to throw in my $0.02, I think definitely the waiting time would be longer than usual.Quest4Knowledge wrote:What are thoughts on how the extended deadline will affect the timing of the cycle?
My guess is that splitters and reverse splitters will have to wait until even later than usual, or at least until the Feb LSAT scores come out before starting to hear back, for a full applicant pool for HLS to look through to see what they need.
But as for the more "updated" applicant pool that HLS would have following the results of the Feb LSAT, I don't think there would be much difference in the pool that they already have. Traditionally the Feb LSAT has far fewer number of takers, and assuming that there would be around 19,000 takers this Feb(should be much less), it doesn't seem likely that there would be a surge of new applicants to HLS. If the percentile data is correct, 173+(top 1%) scorers would be around 190. The time-honored advice for high-scorers in the Feb test is to sit out the cycle, not to apply at the last minute, unless of course you somehow HAD to go to law school that year.
So with little if any new applicant with Feb scores, the only significant group would be those that already applied to HLS with a lower score. Even for this group, however, repeaters' statistics don't really suggest that the number of those who score significantly higher is all that great. So I don't know if HLS really thinks that waiting for Feb takers would add much to the applicant pool. But who knows, maybe the snowstorm shut out many would-be applicants and somehow after the Feb test there could be an applicant surge.

Am I reading that right, the guy says he was waitlisted? That would be the first known WL right? Wish there was a date.
