LOL, dean of UIUC replied to my negotiation email at 12:30 am and upped their offer in light of WUSTL's. Strange.

Well I guess you could drive back over the weekend and refund your plane ticket, if you flew in. Maybe I just irrationally like roadtripping too much. And is that a state-by-state thing, the age to rent a car isn't 21? I rent cars in CA and I'm 22.

I had thought the age was 25.

It is, but you can rent cars if you're younger than 25 with a hefty surcharge.

I'll take some crappy iPhone ones but hopefully someone with a legit camera can take some too. I can't wait to see the campus in nice weather.. It looked amazing in January but I imagine it's even better when everything is greener

I don't have a great camera, but I'll do my best. Got to get my Asian tourist on with the camera around my neck. Think I should rock a fanny pack and map of St. Louis too?

Looks like we will have a large Moonrise group and a big Crowne Plaza contingent. I expect a rivalry to form and a dance off to follow.

Shifty, I am going to single-handedly lose the dance off for the Moonrise group if it comes to that. I have all the dancing skills you would expect from a straight white man who drives an F-150.
Picture the guy in my tar dancing and that's pretty much how it would go.

Also, to anyone coming who wants to split a room, I have a spot available Thursday and Friday. Thursday is at the Courtyard Marriot, and Friday is at Moonrise. PM if you're interested.

Just assume anyone drunk in the lobby is a TLSer. Seems like a good bet, especially if they're shotgunning beers.

I'll be staying at Moonrise. Wooo.
I went to GWU's ASD and was pleasantly surprised by the surrounding environment and the school. Everyone was pretty candid about the market's situation and the fact that GWU is in a very saturated area. However, they somehow convinced me that it was a good school and I am now leaning towards them.
Hopefully, WUSTL can sway me back towards them lol. I love D.C.!

As a side note, before going to my first ASD at GWU everyone said dressing down was fine, but everyone there was slightly dressed up. Maybe this was because we were in D.C., but in any event what do you think would be the appropriate wear for WUSTL for a woman.
