Nope, they said the typical budget for 2010-2011 would be around 70k. Gotta love inflation.

I'm worried too. My parents make decent money but I'm straight out of undergrad aka I have zero money. And my parents won't be supporting me. I wonder how they look at situations like this, if anyone is like me and already got their offer and wouldn't mind PMing me I would appreciate it

Also, does the process take exactly 2 weeks or did anyone hear back quicker? I'm so annoyed that my parents haven't done their taxes yet!

20k stafford (8k subsidized, 12k unsubsidized)
50k supplemental (either gradplus 7.9% or private)
i believe this is what most people not qualifying for need-based will get. every student gets at least the 20k stafford, and every student must borrow at least 30k before qualifying for any need-based grants. so your best case scenario is 30k loans, 40k need based worst case is 70k loans.

I guess that they ran out of money after they gave good financial aid to those 2 earlier posters.

Being over 30 and totally broke helps. Don't worry, I'll still be in ridiculous debt and suffer through LIPP as I pursue my no-money career.

is anyone else freaking out over the possiblity of going $200k+ in debt? I was so excited about getting in i never really thought too seriously about the cost. I've done a little research on LIPP but can anyone reassure me that it is actually a good plan?

It's a very good decision if you're attending HYS, a good decision if you're going to CCN, an O.K decision for the other T14 and then an iffy one below that. Don't worry, the repayment program is very good and you'll probably pay your debt off in less than 10 years.

Freaking out a little, but I'm a) a prestige whore, and b) prepared to sell my soul to a large firm to pay it off. I hear the LIPP is the weakest of the top 3, but that's only something you ought to consider if you're in at Y and or S.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
