Yo, We have very similar numbers. I haven't done the back research through the entire thread but I saw a lot of people saying you were going to get WL/accepted. Can you elaborate on why or should I just read the thread?

I think they were just copying and pasting what I said in a previous post. I'm not sure if I will be on the WL, but I certainly don't expect to hear anything before April. I am a December LSAT applicant, and my numbers are sort of borderline; this normally makes for a long wait. With the increase in applicants, it will only make things tougher. While more applicants doesn't necessarily = stronger applicants as a whole, more applicants does = more applicants that are strong (unless if you assume all of the extra apps are 145/2.1 retards). To demonstrate the point, assume this for a normal cycle (~3000 apps-divided evenly for easy math, not accuracy ):

*auto reject:600, weak consider:600, median numbers:600, strong consider:600, auto admit: 600 (400 offered admission)
=1800 median or above

Now a cycle with 4000 apps evenly divided:

*ar:800, wc:800, mn:800, sc:800, aa:800 (400 offers)
=2400 median or above

Obviously these numbers are not anywhere near accurate, (they just made nice round numbers) but the point is that more applicants does increase the probability of more strong applicants in the pool. Basically the school will have more 165+/3.7+ applicants to choose from, but will award the same amount of acceptances. In reality, most of the applicants will fall below the median, so my numbers should have been more bottom heavy (ie: many more auto rejects). However, the point remains the same. It would be irrational to think that more applicants doesn't = more strong applicants in the pool ( also more weak, mediocre, etc...). I guess i'm trying to say that those of us with median numbers that applied late in the cycle might as well stay off the status check website.

I found out through the decision letter they attach to your status checker. So, they are slowly getting around to getting decisions out.

Yep, I agree. I am in the same boat applicant-strength wise, I do believe that those with 165/3.7+ ("strong" applicants) will get offers other places though.

I, like everyone else had schools that were way out of my league, safety and targets. I haven't heard back from any targets. I have heard from all of my safeties and i think the next wave is the auto rejects from reaches.

In a lot of words I am saying the same thing you are, December applicants like us shouldn't hear back from our target schools for a while.

To be honest I didn't even apply to Hastings - I am a UC undergrad and I met some Davis law student's during an internship in Sacramento. I visited the campus and was really sold.
