Yay more back in the pot. Congrats on your superior options.
Thanks!

Ouch, perhaps you could negotiate with a USC offer?

I plan to negotiate. Just didn't expect to start so low especially after Dean unofficially told me $100k
Really just having an all around shitty week. Ah well.

Sorry Rigo.
Fwiw, my situation is the same as goldenbear2020 so there will be some more money coming back in soon. Hoping it goes to some of y'all.

Will UCLA negotiate with a USC offer? I just got 50k from UCLA but I have 120k from USC. Kind of surprised by the large difference.

Only 50k, what the heck UCLA. This is super disappointing because I know they offered at least $75k to people with similar numbers as mine last year.

Isn't UCLA kind of known for being not too generous with money? From what I've seen there always seems to be a gap between USC money and UCLA money (even taking into account in state tuition). The only time I see UCLA give big scholarships is to people who have #s for T14 schollies at a similar value.

No scholarship email and I was admitted back in December. I guess this means they aren't offering me anything?

80K merit, 7.5K needbased grant. (Versus 157.5K merit at USC). Median LSAT, above 75 GPA. Feeling the sting.

Not sure what to write here. I got admitted but that is the only warmth I have felt from UCLA. Had two chilly interviews. Yes two, and no this is not a Harvard dry run. Then waited a while to get admission. No Scholarship information yet, so I will see. I did have a very nice telephone conversation with a lovely 2L. She is doing a lot of the same type work I would like to do, that was encouraging. Got an email from a 2l today with a similar background, but very different career goals today. Michigan Law has shown lots of love and $$$'s so UCLA has a lot of game to make up for. Apps still pending at 3 T6's

I had my first interview, and the Dean was "not available" to interview me at the same time so had to schedule a second time for another interview. It was all very strange and quite off putting.

I got the 7.5k need based, and got the sentence " We are in the process of awarding merit scholarships. If you would like to know where you stand, please feel free to get in touch. We look forward to hearing from you."
I reached out and have an interview with Dean S on Tuesday. I wish I'd just gotten an award.

~Please don't quote.~ (although why I care I don't know)
Uh... so if anyone is interested in knowing whether they negotiate, I just emailed to withdraw my application and he asked why, and I explained I had better financial offers from other schools and he started the negotiation process for me...? I am still withdrawing my app but yeah. I figure take a swing at asking for more if you feel like it.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
