Hello, everyone.
I got in via PT several days ago. (My stats are in my profile.)
I wish everyone else the same luck.

My LSAT is above the 75th and my GPA is right below the 25th. I was admitted PT last Friday.lawnerd87 wrote:Does anyone think Duke is trying to raise their 25% GPA this cycle? Based on what I've seen, it looks like PT so far this year has been pretty hit or miss for people in Duke's LSAT range who have GPA's around the current 25% mark.

If there's a PT that's ED that means there's a PT that's RD. I asked to clarify for myself, not because I thought guy didn't know what he was talking about.lymenheimer wrote:ProductofUnreality wrote:On page 30 someone mentioned PT ED, duder.lymenheimer wrote: Bruh, he said RD....duder. Accepted!
Via PT on day 10.
I don't know how I accomplished this, but I guess with Thanksgiving and everything I somehow completely forgot about the 10 day timer ticking down. I wasn't expecting to hear back from anyone for weeks. It scared the heck out of me opening my email and seeing an email from Duke about a decision being made. Thought they took one look at my application and threw me out the door. What a welcome surprise, though lol. It's really impressive how quickly they churn out these decisions relative to everywhere else.
I'm completely jarred awake now, though, realizing that decisions are ACTUALLY REALLY HAPPENING RIGHT NOW. Scary.
Stats for the interested:
PT
GPA: 25<X<50
LSAT: 75<<X
Softs are nothing amazing
No Why Duke

My LSAT was at median, and my GPA was between 25% and median, and I was waitlisted.lawnerd87 wrote:Does anyone think Duke is trying to raise their 25% GPA this cycle? Re: Duke Law School c/o 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
Spivey and other consultants predicted this would be a more competitive cycle. Plus, I think Duke is a special case, in that they are trying to kick the door down to get back into the top 10/at least rank the same as UVA.lawnerd87 wrote:Yeah. Same thing happened to me, except LSAT was at 75% and GPA was closer to 25%. Looking at mylsn and stuff, it looks like people over the last few years with these kinds of numbers have been fairly successful this early in the cycle. But this year, it seems like some are getting in with these kinds of numbers and some aren't, more than in recent years.somedeadman wrote:My LSAT was at median, and my GPA was between 25% and median, and I was waitlisted.lawnerd87 wrote:Does anyone think Duke is trying to raise their 25% GPA this cycle? Hi everyone! First post. I got in on Monday, PT Day 7. I was surprised at how fast it was considering Thanksgiving fell during that week. LSAT and GPA both above 75th. Good luck to everyone still waiting to hear!
Edit: Additional data point - I don't think I ever switched from UR1 to UR2. Went straight from UR1 to Decision made as far as I could tell.
