I think I just got this today. Seriously, Vandy wins the award for spending the most on postage for mailing useless crap to acceptees. I appreciate the career services info, but this is all stuff we'd probably rather just look up online...hopefuljumbo23 wrote:Ugh I know I already had a heads up from someone earlier in the thread that the packet from Vandy wasn't scholly info, but I was still praying it was. It's kind of funny because I didn't think there would possibly be any printed material they DIDN'T send in the Black Box.AnonymousPython wrote:I think I just got this today. I love how they felt the need to include the viewbook in that box after mailing one when I applied a month earlier.CJRpnw wrote:It's kind of funny because I didn't think there would possibly be any printed material they DIDN'T send in the Black Box.AnonymousPython wrote:I think I just got this today. I called the admissions office yesterday and they said scholarship decisions will be sent by EMAIL this year. Whether or not you receive aid, you will get an email to notify you either way. Also, I was told they would be sent out in a "week to two weeks." Personally, I think they will be sent out next week...but that may be wishful thinking.

my app has been complete for 13 weeks now and interview completed early Dec. on the site it says 8-12 is typical and an interview would expedite the process. Anyone think its worth it to call and make sure my interviewer submitted my review/email my interviewer and double check?

I think I was around the fifteen week mark when I was admitted post-interview. Honestly most of us on here either heard back unnaturally quickly (vast minority) or at an excrutiatingly slow pace (overwhelming majority).bluefish91 wrote:+1skyhigh4760 wrote:I am in the same situation and was wondering the same thing.gobeers wrote:my app has been complete for 13 weeks now and interview completed early Dec. on the site it says 8-12 is typical and an interview would expedite the process. Vandy was not my first choice in the beginning of the cycle, but it has risen to be. My LSAT is = 50%, GPA < 25%. I know, I am a hugee long shot. I have a few solid backup schools, but I'd love to be attending Vandy come Fall. I've read a lot on this post about how great interviews are with increasing your chances (especially for those who are not shoe ins). The interview deadline is way past gone, and Ive known that. Is there anything I can do? I called the admissions office to see if there was any way I would be able to do an alumni interview or an on campus interview, I was told to email the admissions office with a formal request (vandy official told me chances are not too high of attaining one). Besides that, I am considering visiting. I live in Texas, so it is not too far, but will still be costly. Should I stay on this course or do something different? Thank you in advance! Don't mistake anything, the interview is not all that important. It can be a nice add-on to a strong application but in the end it will not make up for any glaring deficiencies elsewhere. Don't worry too too much about it. If you are desperate you can try to reach out to admissions. Asking can't hurt. Otherwise best of luck!WanyeKest wrote:Vandy was not my first choice in the beginning of the cycle, but it has risen to be. My LSAT is = 50%, GPA < 25%. I know, I am a hugee long shot. Someone should call Vandy and ask where our scholarship offers are
. Just say you are asking for a friend, it'll be fine.

That was me...I e-mailed and asked, they've been really transparent when asked. I get impatient really quickly

I hate calling the admissions office because I feel like that reflects negatively on my application
but I hate a question that was really bothering me
