I'm feeling a big call wave either today or tomorrow. All us UR2 12/14ers will have our waiting ended.

First decisions of the new calendar year have been released on January 9th the last two cycles. Since the 9th falls on a Saturday this year, it should happen before then this cycle, right?

I'm expecting Friday but thinking it might be tomorrow as well.

Also, last year on the 9th acceptances came through calls but there were also WL/dings reported in the 2018 Penn thread that decision day, first via status checker and then with an e-mail that followed at some point later. Not sure what the exact timeframe was.

So I submitted on the 12/14 and am UR as of yesterday (1/5). I don't remember if I was UR before 1/5 as well so I have no idea if this is UR1 or UR2. Did anyone who applied around 12/14 go UR2 yet?

ED 2 applicant here. Submitted 1/5 and went complete today (1/6). Will be praying until the end of January

I'm an ED 2 applicant too! I went complete on 12/7 (missed ED 1 ). Does anyone know how the application status changes for ED applicants? I have seen no change whatsoever since I went complete.

They don't seem to hold interviews regularly nor mention them officially but there are several anecdotal accounts of Penn setting up calls with applicants to discuss specific parts of their application, etc.

I would just use the question lists from other school's interviews and prepare those and then also be prepared to answer anything about your app (C&F, KJD, GPA irregularities, employment gaps, etc)
