I am going to be asking for time off of work soon so I can drive over and visit. It may not help at all, but I want them to know how serious I am about UVA. Maybe they will be nudged to interview .

Good luck!!! I wish I could visit. Unfortunately I get zero days of time off for my first year on this job (and a whole six next year). Already have to take unpaid to go home for the holidays :-/

Went under review today. I know it is a long shot and I was going to wait to see if my LSAT score improved in December, but it is looking like I will be out of country for 6 months and won't be able to take it.

Hey! I am retaking OOTC. Might be worth checking into. I've heard really good things about taking abroad actually (at least in Mexico). There are fewer people, great facilities, etc.

Unfortunately where I'm going, I am pretty sure that won't be an option as I will be at a forward operating base in Southwest Asia. Or else that is exactly what I would do! Good luck!

Quick question. I went under review on 9/8, but I checked my status today and it's still under review but with the date 9/16. What does this mean exactly? Why update it on the 16th with no status change?

That's perfectly normal! My guess is that it means they opened/accessed your application file again on the 16th.
