Maybe I misunderstood the question, but I thought OP was asking if they notify of your decision other than on the status checker? Like, if you are accepted or rejected - do you only know this by the status checker and not via email, mail, phone, etc.?

was rejected last year. i don't know if they are switching things up this year, but there was no email notification when the decision was rendered. status checker was updated to say "deny-xxxxxxxx etc." received a paper rejection in the mail a couple of days later.

You get a packet in the mail, but other than that no. No phone call or email (for acceptances at least)

Anyone else who submitted in October still waiting on a decision (RD)? Mylsn gives me a really good shot at Umich. Just wondering if there are others in the same position. I'm hoping that the time they are taking with my app isn't a strong sign I'll get Waitlisted.
