Info came from a combination of Asha's blog, TLS forums, and other law-related internet sources. Not 100% confident it's all correct, but I'm pretty confident most of it is correct enough to use when speculating on TLS. I have spent way too much time looking at this info.

Lol guys, I didn't mean 1am thing as an absolute "it will happen by this time" kinda thing. It's happened that late but it's also happened during normal business hours. Yale gonna Yale, they will ding us whenever they damn well please.

I wonder if they're waiting this year until the 4/2 scholarship deadline has passed for some schools. They seem irritated by the "sketchiness" of those schools demanding students commit without hearing from Yale. This way, they give those schools no choice but to wait or allow students some leeway.

It's like the whole Band-aid debate: rip it off, or slowly peel it off? the waiting is like Tort [e] Games for us.

Really it's like staring at the band-aid waiting in fear for someone to rip it off at some unexpected time.

Dinged, K-JD. So is being K-JD really that much of a disadvantage when applying to Yale? Curious because everyone is pointing to this as why it's not surprising for their ding.
