Just wondering, when does Duke start reviewing PR applicants?

In at Duke via Priority Track today! Super excited as Duke was one of my top choices. Looking forward to filling out the scholarship form and interview. Does anyone who was previously admitted know exactly what the scholarship application form entails and how flexible they are with scheduling the interview for it? Have the scholarship applications gone out yet? it just seemed strange that they didn't include it with the acceptance email if it is already available, so it makes me think that it's not available just yet.

I have the exact same numbers situation...but I'm kind of nervous because I didnt submit a why duke...do you think it would make sense to send them a Why Duke now? I'm already on day 8...just worried they're going to YP me

It's the waitlist so they will look at it when schools usually look at waitlists, I think earliest people got off was maybe June

I don't really have any insight into their admissions process that I would be able to say whether submitting a Why Duke? now would help any or not. I would guess that it couldn't hurt as long as it's well-written, right? If anything it shows that you care enough about their decision to try and do something that you think will be beneficial to your admissions decision. To be honest, I don't think my "Why Duke?" essay was particularly great, I just had a couple of points that I detailed in like half a page so it didn't take too long to write and I guess it helped some.

Accepted PT to JD/LLM in International and Comparative Law! Did anybody else apply for that?

LSAT > 75%, GPA between 25 and 75%.

Congrats to all those accepted!

The e-mail says you are provisionally accepted, right? Is that the same as a regular acceptance, or is it a different category?

just a technicality...once you apply for financial aid and opt in or out to the optional interview you're officially accepted

Thanks! :)

PT is really something else. The time it takes for Duke to send a decision can be less than the time it takes to go complete at other schools!

Reserved.

3.6/174. Submitted 11/18. No optional essays.

Slightly surprised and disappointed. Duke was probably my last choice out of the schools I applied to, though.

sorry for the PR. they could probably tell though.

duke seems more YP-ish than normal this year... or maybe I just didn't pay enough attention in past years, but for some reason prior to this cycle I didn't think duke was big into YP
