But on this point: I'm waiting on LOCI unless I'm waitlisted. The hold is a very different thing, it means they're reviewing it again eventually, not necessarily "waiting." It seems to have happened only to people who applied but had another LSAT coming up in December. Seems likely that they were just waiting on the next round of scores before looking at the application thoroughly.
Happened to me and I didn't take the December LSAT.
Oh well maybe I'm wrong then. Was there some other piece of information they may have been waiting on? Seems to have happened to a lot of December test-takers, and they held me quickly enough that I I don't think my application was reviewed the same way it will be in the RD pool. But yeah, I'm speculating. I don't know.
I sort of think I was held because although I have competitive numbers, they're confident I'd likely attend if offered admission. My LSAT won't wow them but won't hurt their median, but I live in Austin and have for several years. They likely realized if they wanted to offer me they could take their time and do so after they got a clearer picture of their applicant pool this year, minus locking in 10k/year as part of the ED admittance. Just a hunch. I'm retaking in a couple of weeks to hopefully force their hand and look elsewhere as well, but they're likely willing to take that bet.
It's part of why ED is a joke, and puts so much power in the schools' hands.

That might be it. Makes sense, at least. I'd almost definitely go if admitted, so maybe they're just waiting to see how I'd potentially fit in with the rest of the class.

Just got a spam call from a 512. I have never before in my life received a call from a TX number. That was the worst emotional rollercoaster.

NOOOOOO! PNJ, what am I going to do without you?!
I have no idea, but I am also feeling the pains of the 3.0 glass ceiling.

The sting of rejection is not unlike the pretty girl not wanting to go on a date with me, but won't tell me why. Am I ugly? Unfunny? Smell weird? What is it?! I need to know what to fix for the other 10 girls I plan on asking out.

This is such a high quality analogy.

Regarding a GPA floor, this is from their website:
"To begin, there is no minimum LSAT score for consideration. Each applicant must take the LSAT and have earned a baccalaureate degree from an accredited college or university with a
minimum undergraduate grade point average of 2.2 as calculated by Law School Admission Council (LSAC)"
http://www.utexas.edu/law/admissions/jd/
So, it looks like there is one, but you were slightly above it

There is no gpa floor. I was offered money with a lower GPA. I did submit a diversity statement and an addendum with my app.

If you don't mind me asking, was your GPA higher than a 2.2? Because per their website I quoted above, there does seem to be a GPA floor of 2.2 as calculated by LSAC.

What do you mean by "worked actively"?

Can anyone share their experience with scholarship timelines? I was admitted 2 weeks ago, and received the "we are in receipt of your FASFA" email today.

Also admitted two weeks ago. No scholarship info yet. I've heard three weeks to a month.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
