Do the interview questions vary for person to person (are they randomly selected)?

Such a fail: my acceptance letter got stuck to the strip of glue that keeps the package closed and it pulled off a strip of text from the letter. Boo.

Edit: does anyone know if I can request another copy if the letter?

Hey guys this question may have been asked previously but I could not find it when searching.

On the app the directions for the LOR state:

"Please note, you are required to submit two letters of recommendation
or evaluations. Accordingly, you can submit two letters of
recommendation or two evaluations or one letter of recommendation
and one evaluation. The same person should not submit both a letter of
recommendation and an evaluation on your behalf."

I sent only 1 LOR and 1 Eval and am now second guessing. On the website it actually says they require 2 LORs but the above is what is stated in the directions to the app. Did anyone else do this? I know the LOR I sent was excellent and if I send an additional it would probably be only an okay LOR (forgetful professor who could have spelled my name wrong lol). My app went complete a couple of weeks ago.

What do you guys think?

If the app says you can send one LOR and one eval, you're fine. Website's probably outdated.

Placed on reserve, which from what I understand is essentially a delayed ding?

Can't really complain seeing as it was a long shot to begin with, but I figure I have nothing to lose since Reserve releases me from the ED contract. Anyone have any advice or should I just send the LOCI, forget about it and wait for more realistic options?

Assuming you applied ED because you really wanted to go to Cornell/you would probably pick it over the schools you are currently applying to? If so definitely keep showing interest, worst thing that will happen in that situation is they say no; but if you keep showing interest they may let you in (although it may be into the summer). At that point you could have another option to choose form that you otherwise would not have and even if you decide not to attend Cornell you could always use them as a bargaining chip with another school.

Were you ED round 1 or 2? I've read a few people getting held and then accepted shortly after, well before summer.

ED round 2. Perhaps I'll dig up another recommendation letter.

:/ I'm confused is reserve better or worse than a waitlist, or is it just the same thing? I would give a kidney to get into this school

Just did my interview and my internet flickered off and on in the middle of it. I thought I was fine because it kept giving me questions, but at the end it kept spinning and said it had saved 0%. Now I have to request resubmission. I would've thought I could get four little minutes of uninterrupted internet.

This happened to me too. I had to request a second take.
