Haha well damn! I thought it meant I'd get an answer soon. Glad to see that I have a good shot, though. We already talked about WUSTL but like I said, UT is THE school...especially for anyone coming from SoTex.
Haha, it just depends. I got mine pretty fast, but applied back in late November. It was actually my first (very much unexpected) acceptance! UT really is. If you are from Texas, and want to work in Texas, It is hard to beat UT! I did my undergrad at UT as well, and am glad to stay in Austin

Rejected via email today. Can't say I'm surprised. I figured it would take a miracle to get accepted into UT Law but decided to apply anyways.
Sidenote: If anyone on here is thinking about the dual JD/MPAff program with UT Law and the LBJ School and has questions please message me. I'm about to graduate from LBJ with my MPAff in May and I would be happy to answer any questions. Also between undergrad and grad school I've attended UT (lived in Austin) for 6 years. So any questions about the campus or Austin send them this way.
Good luck y'all!

The school holistically or just the Law School? I thought the LS was pretty small, but I've also been venturing around campus for 4 years now.
EDIT: BTW, if you have a DD you should go to Trudy's and get a Mexican Martini.

You'd be amazed how many times I've been, and how many times I still haven't tried the fried avocado
I usually only go with friends from out of town who love it. I prefer going to some small places like Juan-in-a-Million, personally. So I'm usually DD, hence why I've never actually had a Mexican Martini.

The Mexican Martini is fantastic! Aren't you only limited to 2/3 cause of its strength? The fried avocado is superb. When I first learned of the concept it seemed strange but it sure is delicious.
Never been to JAM. I'm partial to Hula Hut though!

Yeppers! Hula Hut is a fun environment, but I avoid it because when I was in Austin in HS for a speech tournament I had an allergic reaction to something there. First time it has ever happened, and never since. I go and chill rather than eat.

The law school itself. I always knew it was big but didn't know it was 1100 students big! It's Georgetown status

That's interesting - I haven't been to the campus in 25 years, but I've been Google-stalking it since being accepted. Isn't the law school just the one building? And half of it's the library?

It is technically just one building, but I think she means in terms of students. It is a decently sized building with multiple floors.
Another thing that may contribute is the amount of undergrads. While the law school is somewhat separated from the main UG area, you'd be surprised how many UGs try to do study groups at the LS because it is "less crowded," "quieter," etc. Luckily the library is closed unless you are a LS student during finals time.

Actually, it's technically 3 (or 4) buildings, but they're all connected. Library, Townes, Connally. Then there's the Auditorium building which I've never been clear if it's technically considered part of the library building or Townes, or just its own "separate" building.
EDIT: answering myself, it looks like the Auditorium/lounge is part of Townes.

Thanks! I guess it just seems like 1 solid building (I just assumed)

Accepted by phone today!
Won't pull me away from my T-14 options without some money but definitely wouldn't mind living in Austin
