I got my 3rd update today after getting my 2nd update just yesterday. I wonder what it means.

Dude.. complete since 9/25, last update on 10/8. I will polish their shoes if they let me in.TheThriller wrote:Still sitting on a 11/6 update, anyone else have that?
If I snag a waitlist with my numbers I will be stoked. I have some pretty solid softs all I can do right now is hope they waitlist me and then I get dat Feb retake back and they want me so hard.

Re: Cornell c/o 2016 Applicants (2012-2013)
I never noticed any rhyme or reason to Cornell's updates. Then again, it wasn't until people in the GULC thread started putting two and two together that it even occurred to me to notice these things. I just took them at their "this just means it's moving along through the process" thing.Crowing wrote:I got my 3rd update today after getting my 2nd update just yesterday. I wonder what it means.

The windows version didn't work on my work computer, the android version is nonexistent flame, and I haven't tried it on my Mac yet. Does it work well?Crowing wrote:I never check it manually. I don't have an android, and the iphone version is broken. The windows checker works fine for me though, and you can set it to automatically refresh and e-mail or text updates, or both if you're really nuts I guess.shntn wrote:The windows version didn't work on my work computer, the android version is nonexistent flame, and I haven't tried it on my Mac yet. Are they still only working through the auto-admits, or are the rest of us lowly applicants starting to get acceptances?

Sorry if this has been addressed but I can't seem to find it. How do you get automatic updates?

I really wasn't checking that often anyway, but this still makes things easier. For those who compulsively check, I imagine it's a huge stress relief, and the texting function definitely works.Mr. Elshal wrote:Awesome, thanks a lot. Gonna download it now. Yeah, I'm using it on a mac now and every function works except changing the color scheme (which I really don't care about). Also, I'm the compulsive type so this is a godsendelterrible78 wrote:I really wasn't checking that often anyway, but this still makes things easier. does anyone know typical EA acceptance rate? and how many apply? on LSN it looks like most people that get a decision before january are admitted, which would boast an extremely high acceptance rate for EA..

I'm in the same boat. I'm not sure about how many apply EA. The only thing is, as an EA applicant, we can also be placed on reserve in December which means they hold off on a decision until they have the larger applicant pool in January/February. So of those who actually receive decisions in December, most of them might be acceptances (those on the really low end might get rejected right off the bat), but there are a fair amount of others that don't really get a decision until later. I wouldn't think that the EA acceptance rate is much higher than the normal acceptance rate, except for the slight boost we get due to the early timing of it. At the very least, you know you'll hear something from Cornell in December so hang in there!

ooh i didnt know about reserve. i thought they waitlisted people in december. oh god i'd rather it just be accepted or rejected, so i get closure one way or another in a month. if i dont get into cornell i might not even go to law school this cycle so its pretty nerve wracking :/

So is everyone who applied EA already complete? I'm not and was wondering if I should email them since the 15th is approaching.
