Feels like UVA is throwing money out like candy this year, even moreso than last. UVA does tend to be more generous than its peers, probably because it has a lower yield compared to MPB (no facts to back that up, just speculating).

He was really nice - he talked about my recommenders and stuff I wrote on my app. :-)

Good luck to everyone!!!!
$105? C'mon you can do better than that; that won't even buy you one textbook! :D

Congratulations!

Congrats to everyone! I know it's still early, but I was really hoping that submitting my app in mid-september would result in an acceptance by now. I just want my decision, so I can stop checking this thread everyone 30 minutes. I submitted Sept. 19 and I'm thinking it's still too early to worry, right?

I think the bars in Richmond coordinated with the admissions office to have me accepted on a Friday. I'm glad I don't remember the total bills, but I'm pretty sure one particular glass of Scotch was older than most people on this thread. It was Islay malt; no regrets.

I received an email to call Dean Richard at my convenience to talk about my application. Called no answer, so I left a message. Anyone know what I should expect?

Even if I haven't received any indication that my application has been decided on?

I'm out of the country, or I'd have probably gotten the same kind of e-mail. I had no indication whatsoever that my app had moved at all, and they just up and accepted me with a scholarship by e-mail, so yeah...even if you haven't received any indication, that's probably what awaits you.

Thanks! Not quite your 105K but I'm pretty ecstatic...

Money from a T-14 school: Christmas came early and then lasted for 3 years.

For those of ya'll (for you future southerners) who have decisions, when did you submit/go complete?

Submitted 11/19, not exactly sure how long it took me to go complete though. Probably jumpin' the gun here since it hasn't been long at all but was wondering if there's hope for me in December! All this good news is exciting. Congrats everyone!

I submitted 11/15 and got in 11/30 - you're probably still a bit early. Speed seems to depend on your numbers and whether you're in-state or not.

It could be a while still. I submitted 9/19 and still haven't heard. My numbers aren't auto-admit, but definitely not auto-ding either. GPA well above 75th and LSAT just below median.

I've looked through the thread and I apologize if this is repetitive.

I have seemingly competitive numbers (171, 3.7x) and applied late September but haven't heard a peep from Virginia. My checker simply says complete w/ no date attached. Probable wl at this point? Thanks for any and all answers.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
