Hey I just got my status updated to "2nd review" yesterday. Just curious if anyone who has gotten this status (vs. those who didn't) have any feedback. I'm curious if this corresponds more generally to people who have been accepted or to people who have been rejected. Also, if people have gotten scholarships have they gotten in on 1st or second review? Thanks in advance

I must have missed seeing "1st review," since I went from complete (1/31) to "2nd review" next time I checked, not more than a few days later. Don't know what it means yet, but I'm "finalized" as of 2/8, so I'll let you know as soon as I find out!

I think a few people skipped the 2nd Committee Read stage recently. But as the site says, there's not much to extrapolate based on First/Second Reads dates (or lack-thereof).

If they do that, they keep you on First Committee the entire time. Hence why I have been stuck on First Committee since 12/22. My guess is that on Tuesday all of us auto-rejects will get dinged. Why Tuesday? Because USC = heartless...

Has anyone who has been accepted so far been under 1st review for more than a couple of weeks before moving into 2nd review? Or are we thinking that if you get stuck in 1st review for a long time that it's a bad sign?

I was at 1st review for about a month then was accepted!

They haven't started making scholarship offers to anyone yet, but the latest email (the one about upcoming events) mentioned this:

"One final reminder, as we will begin making scholarship offers shortly, please complete and electronically submit the USC Law Scholarship Application if you have not done so already."
