i'm from FSU with a 3.99 GPA and a 160 LSAT and was accepted in January. We should be about equal on any index score.

Regular mail, give it about a week.

I'm in state as well. My status changed to decision mailed on Monday, received my letter on Saturday. The previous mailing cycle took just as long.

Honestly, undergrad tuition is DIRT cheap at UF. The only reason I was opposed to tuition hikes then was because they fucked up royally and I didn't get 100% Bright Futures like promised (tuition hikes weren't included). Law school tuition is insane though, and increasing it by much more won't make it worth staying in-state anymore.
Thanks a-holes

I'm really upset at the fact that as an OOS, UMiami (with my scholly) is cheaper than UF - this is insane.

After touring FSU and UF I am pretty set on UF. I know they are practically ranked the same and the top two law schools in Florida. I talked to some students who were in the same predicament, in-state tuition at both Florida schools, and it seemed like the larger alumni at UF and the fact that lots of people get accepted in FSU but rejected at UF helps make UF the top law school in the state. I somewhat got the vibe that barring scholarships few people chose FSU over UF. Anyways I looked at some housing including the apartment complexes close to the law school. Cazabella seemed nice, Camelot looked nasty, and Point West was quiet, but old. I heard a lot of the residents at Cazabella and Point West were mostly law and grad students. Has anybody else started to look at housing? I might go through a realtor and try to find a house or condo for rent.

As far as apartment complexes go, you nailed it. But you're really going to want to look into the houses for rent right across from the law school off of W. University. Can't beat the location.

Email is probably best but I would probably wait until next week to send the LOCI. Otherwise I'd be worried about it getting buried at the bottom of someone's inbox, seeing as they won't open their email until Monday morning.

I thought so too, yet I received 2 emails from them this week, an email from an alumni, and a scholarship letter today.

Crap! I already talked to the alumnus but I totally forgot to write back the student who emailed me! Thanks for the reminder :)

Congrats on the scholarship! Care to share the details?

Thanks, it's $9,000 a year which works out to 50% since I'm in-state. Just need to stay above a 2.8 GPA to keep it for the 3 years. I'm still hoping to get a little more from a need-based scholarship since I received $5,000 need-based from FIU, which oddly didn't give me a merit-based scholarship.

Congrats!

I'm actually really hoping that I don't get an offer now. I'm all set to take a year off, retake and shoot for T14. 9k/yr would make it a really tough decision. I'd prefer that UF decides for me by making me pay sticker lol. I won't know if I got an offer in this batch until Saturday when I come back to Gainesville and check the mail.

One of the profiles I've been watching on LSN just reported a max scholly (14k/yr) from UF with a 3.95/163. Non-urm.

UF admissions office is open all week long and working at their normal rate. I called them Monday to confirm.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?

Now there's a charge.
