I'm not excluding the possibility of a Saturday filled with acceptance phone calls but probably won't hear anything over the weekend. I'm fine with being proven wrong by someone!lsdream wrote:ColumbiaChamp wrote:i hope not!! maybe they will contact the people ITT first?Zelda wrote:I don't think anyone with UR 11/22 has heard back, have they?

I've seen it before but could have been a troll. Though people got acceptances from other schools on a Sat so you never know but I wouldn't bet on it.msblaw89 wrote:

Just a couple of people. I was UR 11/22 and I heard back on 12/01. But it seems like the bulk of the 11/22 hasn't received a decision yet.Zelda wrote:I don't think anyone with UR 11/22 has heard back, have they?

I’m sorry. I definitely didn’t read any of my application materials after I submitted, though, because I didn’t want this to happen to me.zinc wrote:I made a grammatical mistake in my personal statement.![]()

Don't worry! People get in all the time with typos and other little mistakes in their personal statement. It's not a big deal. There's a good chance that no one at Berkeley will even notice it, and even if they would, they probably wouldn't care.zinc wrote:I made a grammatical mistake in my personal statement.![]()

How serious is this grammatical error? If we're talking about, like, a dangling modifier, you can forget about it. If it's something huge and glaring ("Me loves Berkley") it might be possible to give the admissions office a call and ask them to replace your PS with an updated one - but it would have to be really, really egregious to warrant that.
tl;dr - don't sweat it.

TITCR... I found a typo in Berkeley's view book for crying out loud. I've received dozens of emails from schools with massive errors. This stuff happens.curiouscat wrote:Don't worry! Thanks everyone. I feel better now. The sentence is not wrong, per se. However it makes me look a bit more aggressive than what I would like. We shall see what happens.
