I'm sure a lot of people are complete 12/1 (I think Krad is one of them??) whose 8 weeks are up next Wed & haven't heard yet! Don't worry...czelede wrote:Very good point. In other news, I'm 99.9999% sure I'll be rejected because of my LSAT. And NU is one of my toptoptop choices

Yup, I was complete in mid/late Nov and have heard nada! I'm banking on tomorrow... I'm in an all day all team annual planning meeting at work today so i can only check TLS and email once in a while... Stressful Thursday, yes.

IIRC, 8 weeks was a general guideline not an actual deadline.
Just saying.

From the status checker site: "Once your application status is complete, please allow 8 weeks to receive a decision. If your application is complete before December, the 8-week period will begin on December 1."Hannibal wrote:IIRC, 8 weeks was a general guideline not an actual deadline.

Seems to be pretty definite, and does not imply a general guideline to me.

Hmm interesting debate
I took it to mean by next week, but if it's longer then so be it... I'd rather have them take longer for a potential yay than immediately have a WL or nay!

TLS has forced me to use acronym finder so many times it's ridiculous. I can't tell if I'm the only one who's never seen some of these, or if everybody's just trying to be difficultHannibal wrote:IIRC, 8 weeks was a general guideline not an actual deadline.

Re: Northwestern 2011 Applicants
That sounds to me like if the post office says "please allow 5-7 days for your mail to be delivered." That really just means under normal circumstances mail will come in that period, but stuff will come on day 8 pretty often.awilson11 wrote:From the status checker site: "Once your application status is complete, please allow 8 weeks to receive a decision. I never should have added their twitter feeds. Now I'm dying of suspense and I'm probably not even in this batch. No one's received an email yet right?

I guess I equate NU time frame claims more with FedEx than USPSHannibal wrote:That sounds to me like if the post office says "please allow 5-7 days for your mail to be delivered." Re: Northwestern 2011 Applicants
This is true, but I feel like if they KNOW they're going to WL someone (like me) they might as well do it already instead of dragging it out.krad wrote:Hmm interesting debateI took it to mean by next week, but if it's longer then so be it... (For clarification: I tried to send additional LORs but to no avail, so it's not that I just applied for the purpose of throwing $12 away)
Watch me edit this post 5 minutes later with a "just received WL email!" lol.

I can't get into the log in page (not even loading). Maybe they're busy making the updates now prior to releasing results?

IN VIA EMAIL!!!
edit: The email reads (in part) "Your official letter will be available through our Check Status page after 6pm today." So refresh your inboxes, because I don't think status checker is the way to go today.

Re: Northwestern 2011 Applicants
It took almost exactly 2 weeks for me to go complete after my interview, and my interviewer swore he would submit the details to Northwestern the day of, so I would give it another week.rbarcelo9 wrote:Still not complete at NU. Had my interview a little over a week ago. Should I call/email?

Thanks my interviewer said the same. I love NU and would love to have yet another variable thrown into my already difficult decision.whathojeeves wrote:It took almost exactly 2 weeks for me to go complete after my interview, and my interviewer swore he would submit the details to Northwestern the day of, so I would give it another week.rbarcelo9 wrote:Still not complete at NU. Re: Northwestern 2011 Applicants
I am interviewing for a part-time job tomorrow, which I am pretty sure I will get. I also have begun volunteering 5-10 hours a week at the local ACLU. Should I write a letter to update Northwestern since they are so heavy on work experience? Or would doing so kick my file out of line and put it in the back again? Also, any thoughts on whether to do this for other schools I am still waiting to hear back from? Thanks.
Seriously? What are you waiting for?
