HOLY CRAP!!! I JUST GOT A SCHOLARSHIP E-MAIL. 15,000 A YEAR.. NO STIPULATIONS. I'm seriously in disbelief right now... 160/3.7 non-URM

I don't think it is. Glad to know others got it because I emailed them this morning about scholarships and I thought it was a reply to me, but it looks like everyone with my stats got it. Congrats, guys!

I'm pretty excited though... I was completely bummed out thinking I wouldn't be able to attend because of the cost. This scholarship makes it comparable to my in-state public school option.

I wonder if I should email. Someone said they don't negotiate at all? "Hi, I can't justify paying significantly more to attend Wake over Illinois... can you help meeee?"

Haha that's what I did this morning except with W & M. I thought the email I got was a direct reply to me with a new scholarship offer because of it. I would just email... it can't hurt. I actually thought of you when I got the email because I know you have UIUC w/ scholly.... DO IT!

kind of scared of the 2/3 thing with the small class size. I guess we'll all be fighting to be in the top 2/3

From what I remember, they were able to negotiate scholarships but had to wait until April to do so as they needed to see how many matriculated and how much money they had left.

Did you not hear about any $ from Wake yet? If not, I would definitely say email them. You have nothing to lose. If they don't help you out then you just have a bigger scholarship at a higher ranked school. Win-Win...to me anyway.

15,000 a year with a 161!! Wake is now a top 2 choice for me. I'm so pumped!

I called and they said they don't do anything to reimburse you for travel expenses for scholar's weekend.

Hey everyone that's still waiting on a decision - I was told that there would be another round of decisions by the end of this week, so keep frantically refreshing your email. Anyone heard about how they dole out scholarships for the slightly later acceptances?

Maybe you can tell that that you're really interested in attending WF (which may or may not be true lol) but that Illinois offered you XXXXX and unless some kind of assistance can be offered, it is very unlikely you'll be able to attend, due to the financial burden.
