EDIT: You can get there through the completed applications page
log into lsac :p
go to apply--> report status
click on UF and open up the pdf
the boxes on the report are all labeled vertically down the left side of the page :
background
degree school
transcript analysis
summary
in the summary box, it says "lsat score data"
it shows the score band, score, percent rank , admin date and index.
If you took the lsat more than once, it will give you both index numbers.
then below that, is gives your "average" score band and index number

they must round. my first lsat score index is 5.8, my second is 5.9, and they gave me 5.8 total.

The rounding makes those not very helpful lol. I'd say do what I did and compare exact index scores

Re: U. of Florida 2010-2011 Applicants!!
I used Barbie's formula AND I just looked at the LSAC page. According to the LSAC page my index is 5.8. As just mentioned, people have gotten accepted with those numbers. I have been "review complete, final decision pending" since November 4th....What's going on UF? It's not cute anymore
I am worried that I haven't hear back yet since people with those numbers have gotten in...Any ideas?
Also, for those of you who have gotten into Florida State, what are your index numbers according to LSAC? (I know this is the UF thread, but since we are already talking about it here and most of you have applied there too, I thought I would ask.)

I am an 85 at FSU [haven't been accepted ]. I am also pending at UF. All schools don't use index numbers in the same way. i.e. Illinois uses it for section placement [pretty sure I am remembering correctly from the Dean Pless thread]Neo wrote:I used Barbie's formula AND I just looked at the LSAC page. Re: U. of Florida 2010-2011 Applicants!!
Index for currently “Review complete, decision Pending”:
5.70
5.70
5.70
5.70
5.60
Index for the Last admitted batch (compiled by Barbie):
5.818(5.80)
5.755(5.80)
5.792(5.80)
5.790(5.80)
5.785(5.80)
5.733(5.70)
5.708(5.70)
The obvious difference is that the LSAT index is rounded. So I went ahead and round Barbie's data and enclosed it in parenthesis for direct comparison with my data above it.
Our numbers are on average 0.1 index point below the last admitted batch. I don't know what that entails; that's for you to decide.

I think LSAC only report the rounded index. So I round your data for direct comparison with mine.Barbie wrote:The rounding makes those not very helpful lol. I'd say do what I did and compare exact index scores![]()

I agree, that's all I want too. And my two front teeth...I think I would look odd in law school without those

Congrats to all who were accepted to UF! I am applying next cycle, so I've been reading this thread here and there. Could someone tell me how to calculate my index? I don't think I can do it through the LSAC website right now because I don't have any schools on there yet.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Ha ha yea I just got this as well. I was all excited and then realized what it was...totally not cool as I am really needing to hear back from them asap.

I was also hoping that since they sent one of these out it meant that they updated status checkers...they didn't

I thought that meant they updated my status checker too.

I know I'm growing impatient. I got in last year with the exact same #'s, only thing that's changed is more recent LORs and a grad school transcript. UF law school AND b-school admissions leave something to be desired.
