Re: Villanova 2010
I guess I'm a happy medium between you two - Mets, Giants, Rangers, Knicks. It took me a while to get over going to school right near Philly, especially when I'm going to have to secede Fox Sunday football broadcasts from my beloved Giants to the Eagles, but I'm starting to get over it.

Hmm, all these New York fans might make me think twice about the whole thing. . . . KIDDING! I already go to a Philly-area school overrun by New Yorkers as it is!

I would say it was out of the blue. I was thinking about trying to leverage them with some other scholarships that I got, but I never did.horriblegb wrote:tsk070 wrote:Thanks! Re: Villanova 2010
All this talk about NY sports has me a little worried. I'll stick with the Red Sox/Patriots/Bruins/Celtics. Haha, I'm from Boston but have lived in NYC for two years so I can't imagine encountering greater hostility. I'm deposited at Nova but still waiting on decisions at other schools and probably will be riding the BC waitlist throughout the summer.Onion wrote:Good thing you like the Yankees, the Jets and Rangers will break your heart every year.mikeyp wrote:Correction...Yankees, Jets, and Rangers!Onion wrote:This, except go Yankees, Giants, Rangers! Wow badpixie, you'd think that with your LSAT they would have moved a little faster in accepting you...

Re: Villanova 2010
I applied really late in the cycle (early March), so I'm not surprised, considering how long most others have been waiting. Also, I'm very non-traditional, so my age may be a concern. I had responses from some schools pretty quickly, but I'm still waiting to hear from several. I'm allowing myself to believe that the reason for the delay is that they are trying to find merit scholly $ lying around somewhere. It makes the waiting slightly easier.WithGrace23 wrote:Wow badpixie, you'd think that with your LSAT they would have moved a little faster in accepting you...

Re: Villanova 2010
I went complete on 1/19, and I am still waiting. My LSAT score is above Villanova's 75th percentile, so I figured I was in no problem. Anyways, I've decided to go to UConn, and I sent my seat deposit in last week.
Villanova is screwing itself by taking so long to make decisions. I wouldn't be surprised if they dropped in the rankings again next year.
Edit: I feel a little better. I just spoke to a Dean of Admissions at Villanova and he agreed to refund my application fee.

Re: Villanova 2010
Sent an email asking to my name to be removed from the wait list. Not that I needed to -- I think the wait list is opt-in, not opt-out.
I got into Temple, which is a ton less expensive as a resident, and I've already done my time living on the Main Line.
Word to the wise, avoid drinking at Kelly's on Lancaster Ave -- it's where the undergrads go. The Grog has fewer douchebags. At least these things were true three years ago.

Seriously? What are you waiting for?
