Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Waitlist
Does anyone know what percentage of post-waitlist JS1s get in? Is it still around 75% like the pre-waitlist?

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Waitlist
I think it might take a while for people to arrange their schedules to respond given that they have to interview with just a week's notice. And at least based on this thread, a significant portion of the invitees might be international and not have even seen the good news yet.SpookySalem92 wrote:That's interesting. I wonder if it will be weekly waves and we'll have to wait until next Thursday or so again.

No stats here but I'd say so, if not higher than 75%.CA1993 wrote:Does anyone know what percentage of post-waitlist JS1s get in? Is it still around 75% like the pre-waitlist?

I also think that the info on the calendar might be a bit delayed: after I booked my slot it still remained open for a while, despite me getting the confirmation.curry1 wrote:I think it might take a while for people to arrange their schedules to respond given that they have to interview with just a week's notice. For those reading the cryptic "Spivey tweet" posts. Sounds like a few more JS1 spots coming soon. Which would make sense, seems like these early ones were just a handful of (mostly international) JS1s.

If they actually did try to adjust for people's time zones that would be especially considerate of them I guess

This def makes sense--give international applicants first crack at interview times.jb111 wrote:"The wave has begun... and will grow"

I'd like to agree with you all, but I think he's referring to the cascading effects down the rankings.Rigo wrote:Oh for sure. He especially has ties to HLS.jjcorvino wrote:And will grow? Does he have some inside info here?huskyfan72309 wrote:Spivey tweet...

The fact that the next day has only 16 spots to begin with is frightening enough on its own!MrJD2020 wrote:I'd have thought the same. I booked INSTANTLY.SpookySalem92 wrote:That's interesting. I guess another noteworthy point would be that the invites went out on a Thursday; in previous years (at least the last three) they've gone out on Friday, so perhaps a two-day cycle isn't beyond the realm of possibility. Onward, rampant speculation!

Re: Harvard Law c/o 2020 Waitlist
Sorry to jump in here as someone not on the Harvard waitlist but is on this thread because of what Spivey means I think this is what he is referring to-Rigo wrote:SPIVEY CALL-IN

He has described the waitlist game as a wave in general and that Harvard usually starts it and it waves through the other schools to follow. Meaning Harvard lets people off the waitlist so other lower schools lose their deposited students and admit students of the waitlist and so on and so forth. And this year in particular is supposed to be a bigger wave because of the lack of high LSATS. So the wave starting and growing probably means Harvard has pushed the first domino they are all about to fall all the way down the line not really in reference to just Harvard's pool

I've been on here waiting for you guys to get movement hoping eventually soon I'll get movement on my waitlists

Ugh I refuse to accept any interpretation that doesn't conform to my conveniently optimistic narrative.
