Just received the scholarship email! $90k, which is nice but I was hoping for a little more.

Waitlisted this morning. This is the second school I've been waitlisted at where everyone else on LSN with my numbers was accepted :/ First one I figured could be YP, but now I'm worried something is wrong with my app.

Where else did you get waitlisted and where have you been accepted? I was irrationally thinking the same after GW WLd mesjs12 wrote:Waitlisted this morning. Anyone know when they will release admission decisions? Its been 9 weeks since my application was said to be complete. Getting a bit impatient. BU is my top choice

Re: Boston University C/O 2020 Applicants (2016-2017)
I called them last week and they said it takes an average of 8- 10 weeks for a decision. I just think its a long time to hear back especially because I heard back from a couple of T14 schools.TudoBem wrote:same here.MAqee9898 wrote:Anyone know when they will release admission decisions? Denied a spot on the waitlist today. They gave me a weird vibe plus I'm bitter about the waitlist. I could only afford to go with a massive scholarship, anyway.
Good luck everyone!

Well I'm in the middle of week 10 and the decision could really go either way. Above one median below another.

I just took a look at your stats...I'm really surprised you were waitlisted. I can kind of understand feeling bitter.sjs12 wrote:I was waitlisted but it took 12 weeks for me to get a decision.TudoBem wrote:same here.MAqee9898 wrote:Anyone know when they will release admission decisions? I was just more surprised than anything, since I'd been stalking LSN and everyone else with my numbers was admitted. Oh well. Boston definitely would've been a cool city to live in.ashrice13 wrote:I just took a look at your stats...I'm really surprised you were waitlisted. I'll be at the 3/24 ASD as well.ashrice13 wrote:I'm also going on the 24th. I can't remember if you applied to BC too but if you did they have an ASD on 4/1 so I think a lot of people are doing the 3/31 @ BU and 4/1 @ BC thing so they can attend both but only travel once.brinicolec wrote:ashrice13 wrote:WAHOO!! Went complete in early-December.
GPA < 25th, LSAT > 75th, URM.![]()
I did not get scholly info with the admit packet but I was admitted BEFORE they started giving scholly info out. My info came via email...but not sure if it will change now that they're giving scholarship info out to people.
When is ASD?
If you do come for the 3/24 day (and you should to hand with Dodocogon and myself) there's a diversity meeting on 3/23 for students of color that you might want to go to also!

Got my scholarship and was a bit disappointed...will leave me a little more in debt than current T14 offer. I love living in Boston and would love to stay but the money has to make sense...anyone this year had any luck negotiating?

I think a lot of people are waiting for BC before deciding what to do in terms of negotiations.theboringest wrote:Got my scholarship and was a bit disappointed...will leave me a little more in debt than current T14 offer. Agreed with Ashrice. But at the same time, I'd guess that T14 offers, WUSTL, Notre Dame, GW, Fordham, etc could get BU to talk moneyashrice13 wrote:I think a lot of people are waiting for BC before deciding what to do in terms of negotiations.theboringest wrote:Got my scholarship and was a bit disappointed...will leave me a little more in debt than current T14 offer. Gahh I'm pretty sure BU is my top choice from the school's I've gotten into so far...but I can't commit until they show me $$...it sucks that I can't yet get excited about living in Boston and learning more about the school and stuff until I'm a little more sure that I'll be able to go there...
