Got my acceptance folder in the mail a couple days ago, the flash drive is a nice touch.

Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
I had a DS and used the "explain testing, grades, etc." to talk about my 3 LSAT scores (it was like 3 sentences). I did include a little Why Michigan in my PS as it worked well into what I wrote about, but since I was ED I didn't go into too much depth.alenamarie wrote:did anyone write more than one of the supplemental essays?

Mine was good old US mail, and I'm not near Michigan, so I assume that's their standard procedure.rebexness wrote:Someone in CT is getting a letterjames.bungles wrote:zoom and enhancefra wrote:Picture of admissions letter signing posted to twitter:

Re: Michigan Law c/o 2018 Applicants (2014-2015)
Hey don't know if anyone has any insights on this, but Michigan is one of my top choices and I finally got the app in this past weekend. I've been waiting on my third LOR, but she's on sabbatical and hasn't been responsive (might be out of the country). I wasn't willing to wait much longer so I sent in my application with two LORs, but within the Michigan app I listed her name as a third. Will they hold my app with this missing letter, or will they just ignore it? If it comes in during the next two weeks is it worth trying to submit it?

I'll preface this by saying I'm not an expert at any of this but from my experience: I had a recommender (also my 3rd) on my file that submitted her letter after Michigan had already had my application for several weeks. I think it is pretty likely that they will evaluate you without the letter but maybe hold the decision for the letter? My letter went through and I heard back a week later. It might be different for RD vs. ED though.DCfilterDC wrote:Hey don't know if anyone has any insights on this, but Michigan is one of my top choices and I finally got the app in this past weekend. Hey thanks a bunch for the reply! For all I know this professor is just not going to end up writing it, but it's good to know that I'll still get a status checker with just the 2 and I can contact them at that point to say that there isn't a 3rd letter.warby93 wrote:I'll preface this by saying I'm not an expert at any of this but from my experience: I had a recommender (also my 3rd) on my file that submitted her letter after Michigan had already had my application for several weeks. My 3rd letter-writer--who is listed on all my apps--still hasn't submitted. Got in to Michigan and a few others so far--they really don't care.DCfilterDC wrote:Hey don't know if anyone has any insights on this, but Michigan is one of my top choices and I finally got the app in this past weekend. Admitted to the summer start a few days ago! I'm really excited but I would prefer the fall start because I'll be finishing my current work obligations abroad in late April/early May and I think everything would be a bit tight. Does anyone know if it's possible to change start dates?

I remember reading somewhere on Michigan's website (probably in a2z) that it is possible. I would contact admissions ASAP though.

Does anyone know how long it normally takes for the status to change from " Incomplete-in process" to "complete"? Thanks in advance!

I submitted on 11/24 but still haven't received a status checker email...has this happened to anyone else? Should I be worried or contact the office?

I'm in the same boat, though I think it typically takes a little while to receive the email so I wouldn't stress. The "what to expect when you're expecting" thread claims it may take a couple of weeks.hearsay77 wrote:I submitted on 11/24 but still haven't received a status checker email...has this happened to anyone else?
