How quick was the turnaround from you writing the Why Texas to the waitlist? I didn't get asked to write one but I'm curious.

Really sorry to hear that, I know you've been active on the UT thread and I believe we have really similar numbers. I went complete back on 11/5 and still no word, although in state, so I may be next. Planning to wait it out on the waitlist?rebexness wrote:Yup. Just checked LSN, looks like some probably YP results on there. Maybe folks that didn't return a Why Texas?

Re: University of Texas C/O 18 Applicants
Just received the ding. I'm on the waitlist. However, I am currently accepted at Cornell Law, so you win some and you lose some.
Just to throw it out there, they had asked me to submit a "Why Texas" which I did and thought it was pretty good. But goes to show receiving the "Why Texas" does not really equate to an acceptance.
Does anyone know how this waitlist moves for out of staters?

I keep reading about people having updates on a status tracker, and saw the link for one on UTs website; however I received an email saying they received my application, but didnt receive any login info. I am in undergrad at UT so I already have an EID and I tried using that, but it didnt work. When did yall receive the tracker info?

Took a while for me. Like two weeks after the application confirmation email. But even when you get it, it does nothing for you...mine didn't even go complete until a few days after I got the acceptance call.cutieluby wrote:I keep reading about people having updates on a status tracker, and saw the link for one on UTs website; however I received an email saying they received my application, but didnt receive any login info. Applied ED and was held over for RD in October. No changes since. Should I submit a LOCI?

Not to hijack your question, but I work at the law school from time to time through my company and will be there today. Should I stop by the admissions office and see if I can speak with a rep or something to express interest? Just a thought.

same here, but if you look at LSN, there are lots of us that submitted around that time and are still pending. I'd hold off a while yet, especially since applying ED shows a pretty intense interest.TX_UH wrote:Applied ED and was held over for RD in October. No changes since. Should I submit a LOCI?

Yeah, it definitely couldn't hurt. Though they're right that applying ED demonstrates your interest pretty well. Maybe you could get some outline of the general procedure for how they look at held ED applications. I asked via email and they said I can expect a decision any time in the regular decision period, but I figure there's probably more to it than that.Uschoolqb10 wrote:+1TX_UH wrote:Applied ED and was held over for RD in October. But on this point: I'm waiting on LOCI unless I'm waitlisted. The hold is a very different thing, it means they're reviewing it again eventually, not necessarily "waiting." It seems to have happened only to people who applied but had another LSAT coming up in December. Seems likely that they were just waiting on the next round of scores before looking at the application thoroughly.

Oh well maybe I'm wrong then. Was there some other piece of information they may have been waiting on? Seems to have happened to a lot of December test-takers, and they held me quickly enough that I I don't think my application was reviewed the same way it will be in the RD pool. But yeah, I'm speculating. I don't know.Uschoolqb10 wrote:Happened to me and I didn't take the December LSAT.nicefunguy wrote:TX_UH wrote:Applied ED and was held over for RD in October.
