Congrats to all the new admits! I went complete last week of January, so I'm not expecting to hear back until March.

Yes, but we made it this far, out of thousands of applicants competing for 200 seats.

We should have no expectations for getting in, so every minute that passes is one more minute that we are in the running. This should be the mindset of everyone on this site who isn't 180/4.0 or found a cure for cancer.

That is exactly what will happen if you are WL but if you are going to be rejected and are a Oct/Nov applicant you are almost certainly going to hear back this month.

I never said my visions had any basis in actual precedent. I'd definitely RATHER just get dinged this month than wait for another 8 weeks.

Fair. My hope is to make the waitlist, that would be a incredible moral victory for me. I have zero expectation of getting in, so with that in mind, if I can make it through Feb without a ding there is a realy possibility that I have accomplished that goal.

Has anyone, anywhere, been rejected yet, though? I'm just thinking that my app has been in the "to be rejected during the first wave in Feb" since they first read it in October! Glass half empty, baby.

Ahh - don't tell me that! I need to stop reading this thread. I preferred pretending there was no information and no timeline about decisions at YLS. Now I'm starting to panic a bit. :/

Dude. Yale. Anything other than a straight-out rejection is three-quarters full. They could just mail printed copies of our applications that have been used as napkins during their late-night pizza runs, but they actually take everyone seriously. It's kind of cool. I feel special just applying.
