if you look at LSN, they are not throwing money at the 167 but at those with much higher scores. I see a couple 167 with 120,000 but they appear to be above the 75th GPA or at least the above the median. they will probably lower the class size by about 10 people though to make sure they can maintain the 167 median.mcs268 wrote:Here's to predicting an LSAT median drop to 166. They're doing everything they can do get 167s by giving them great scholarships, but I think if they're being smart they'll let more 166s in than usual to allow for a 166 median fallback, which wouldn't be awful.

well it's almost february so you should hear any day. They might think you are not going to seriously consider them so therefore they don't want to waste time with you. with a 168 and a 3.9 you have a decent chance as high as Columbia..

Re: USC c/o 2016 Applicants
172, 3.75, undergrad UCLA, regional LA.
Just got offered the $120,000. It's between SC (18th, $120,000) vs. Duke (11th, $0) so far. Does anyone know if Rothman offers any money to those who don't win the final spot? SC will be a strong number 1 for me if I get a full ride.

I honestly wish USC would throw some money at me right now. I applied for the Rothman but I'm still sitting at Committee 2nd read since 1/2...

Hmm. There goes the theory of rothman candidates getting an update like I did today. Not sure what's going on then.

I know that CLS had it, I also applied to them, it is a long shot!...but when i talked to USC 2 months ago about my fee waiver. they didn't say anything abou that to me when i brought it up.andy261 wrote:I think someone posted a couple pages back that LSE dropped their LL.M partnership with USC last year and offers it through CLS instead now.uconjak wrote:I am sitting with no decision and with a 168/3.9 I got a full tuition at Iowa, and 45K at UCLA. Committee second read. Apparently that does not mean decision imminent but, um, yea.
Hope my undergrad loves me.

Just submitted my app. USC is one of my reach schools. Hopefully a drop to 166 median can allow someone like me at a 165 to sneak right in.
Good luck to all those who are still waiting and congrats to those who have been accepted.

I'm hoping as well, but for a little different reason. Hoping my 167 will allow me to get in, even with my terrible GPAboblawlob wrote:Just submitted my app. USC is one of my reach schools. Hopefully a drop to 166 median can allow someone like me at a 165 to sneak right in.

there won't be a median drop(they will lover class by 10-15 if they have to avoid that) but 165 is fine if you have a good GPA. you might get 30kboblawlob wrote:Just submitted my app. USC is one of my reach schools. GPA is average law school applicant gpa. It'd already be a miracle if I get in. Can they afford to lower their class size though with such a small incoming class at ~200 already?zman wrote:there won't be a median drop(they will lover class by 10-15 if they have to avoid that) but 165 is fine if you have a good GPA. you might get 30kboblawlob wrote:Just submitted my app. USC is one of my reach schools. yes if it's about 10-15, they can make up the difference with transfers or some cuts to the overal budget. the way they have thrown money at non 167 lsat applicants, it appears it won't be an issue. the only way their median gets forced down if someone like UCLA or vanderbilt drop their which probably won't happen.. it's not that bad. the 20% application drop is not killing the top 20 schools like it is others.boblawlob wrote:GPA is average law school applicant gpa. Only one person will get the Rothman(full scholarship plus a SA position at Skadden).tkim129 wrote:172, 3.75, undergrad UCLA, regional LA.

Jumping on the boat with a 168, sub-3. Really hoping that USC will let some of us in to maintain their LSAT median.yupyup wrote:Good luck to u! I'm in the same boat. Checking in. Applied to USC late in the game. Hoping there is a spot for a non-traditional reach applicant like myself!

Went Committee 1st Read 1/8, Committee 2nd today. How long does this generally mean until a decision comes along?
