I've been on 1st Read for about four weeks now. I suppose, in the grand scheme of things, that's not an exceptionally long period of time. But I think my concept of time has become permanently skewed by law school admissions and suddenly a few weeks seems like months...I blame status checkers.

I am stuck at complete 11/3. I might cry when my status checker finally moves.LuckyinLaw? wrote:I've been on 1st Read for about four weeks now. I'm not going to try to deny the fact that I teared up in excitement after straight staring at the screen for a solid 10 seconds when mine finally moved. What is this process doing to me?tadlbb wrote:I am stuck at complete 11/3. I might cry when my status checker finally moves.LuckyinLaw? wrote:I've been on 1st Read for about four weeks now. Complete: 10/31
First review: 1/31
Second review: 2/3
Decision finalized: 2/8
So, looks like they're emailing in addition to snail mail, or do I have that wrong?

Decision finalized today.
I went complete 4 weeks ago and went from 1st review to final review (2/7) to decision finalized (2/8) - without a second review. 25th LSAT and a 75th+ GPA. Is this a good sign?

Re: USC c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
I was admitted to UCLA a few days ago (think I applied to both UCLA and USC on December 16). But haven't heard anything from USC. My status on their Online Applicant System has remained "Complete" since December 19, so I guess they haven't even started looking. Although I am leaning towards UCLA, I would definitely consider USC if admitted (my numbers suggest that I should be).
I guess I'm just wondering if anyone else is experiencing a similar wait time. Can't wait for this all to be over.

Decision finalized today. I really wish they would send decisions via email. Now, I'm gonna be incessantly checking the mail the next few days.

I was admitted to UCLA about a week and a half ago and haven't heard yet from USC. I submitted both applications at the beginning of January. I'm definitely interested in USC, so I'm hoping to hear something soon!SFinLA wrote:I was admitted to UCLA a few days ago (think I applied to both UCLA and USC on December 16). Haha I am going to go insane. Just to put that into perspective, that would almost be 3,000 hours to read like 16 pages between us. Obviously there are other files to read, but 4 months is crazy.horrorbusiness wrote:woohoo you and i are 11/3 brothers. i really wouldn't be surprised if 3/3/2012 rolls around and we still haven't heard anything.tadlbb wrote:I am stuck at complete 11/3. Re: USC c/o 2015 Applicants (2011-2012 cycle)
Hey I just got my status updated to "2nd review" yesterday. Just curious if anyone who has gotten this status (vs. those who didn't) have any feedback. I'm curious if this corresponds more generally to people who have been accepted or to people who have been rejected. Also, if people have gotten scholarships have they gotten in on 1st or second review? Thanks in advance

Yup, pretty much all the same dates for me for USC app and UCLA accept...was also wondering what's up and why the delay..SFinLA wrote:I was admitted to UCLA a few days ago (think I applied to both UCLA and USC on December 16). Complete 1/25, was expecting to wait forever and mindlessly checked status everyday. Heart admittedly skipped a few beats at the sight of committee 1st read

I was in final review for about a day, I think. Went to "finalized" yesterday (2/8), am currently on pins and needles.thejrob wrote:Anyone who has been In Final Review??? How long does that usually take?
