Where are you seeing these rejections? I don't think this is the case. Yesterday's decisions weren't waitlisted and I think they were most likely dings.

Yeah I did see those, hopefully that means a waitlist means something...pret wrote:I'm interested in swapping PSs/DVs/LOCIs with some of you other waitlisters out there.
This is for the pt program only. There are some solid rejections in here:ama004 wrote:Based on lsn and posts here, it seems like they sent out a batch of waitlists for both full-time and part-time candidates. I may be wrong. It's just that there was a group that went dm yesterday and I was one of them. I didn't get a waitlist email so I don't think I was waitlisted and someone earlier said that the school contacted him to let him know that he had been accepted. I haven't been contacted so I am assuming that I got rejected. If we are assuming that they are still released in batches then I think the people that went dm yesterday could be dings. I hope that I am wrong though.

Re: Maryland Applicants c/o 2015
I think the school has veered away from the waitlist email notifications in favor of snail mail letters. I was one of the waitlisted applicants who got an email the day after (more than 24 hours) I went decision made. The next round of waitlisted applicants after my group seemed to be notified via snail mail. In other words, I think they abandoned the waitlist emails because of technical difficulties--I even heard of an applicant getting the email 3 separate times.VMB wrote:ama004 wrote:Where are you seeing these rejections? At any rate, I think you still could be waitlisted so good luck!

For what it's worth, I went DM yesterday, and received my waitlist email minutes later. Booooo.

Really? I would have imagined they would have made all of their decisions before starting to pull people from the waitlistama004 wrote:According to lawschoolnumbers.com, someone was just accepted off the waitlist for the full-time program...

What decisions? If a lot of people withdrew on Friday, that obviously left spots to give.abbottsbar wrote:Really? So much for late April! What time did they call you?
So far no word yet if they're getting to the pt waitlist.

They called during the third inning. Haha. Probably around two pm eastern. I didn't pick up but the girl told me to call because it was urgent. She asked if I would accept admission if offered. I said yes yes yes!! Haha she said I would hear officially in two days.

Congrats on the admit! By the way - are you a water polo player? If so, where are you from/where did you play? PM me if you did.h2oplyer7 wrote:They called during the third inning. Haha. I am a water polo player, or was.
i played at the air force academy. No money offered yet but i have the gi bill. That should cover a lot. I'm actually sitting in a notre dame law class right now. I love this school! Sadly I'm on the wait list. I will pay my deposit for Maryland quickly. I don't think I'll get into nd. Umd is my top choice.

According to lsn, the full-time waitlist is definitely seeing some movement--there are at least 3 applicants who have gone WL, Accpeted.
Hopefully the evening program will follow suit

WTF? Congrats to all that have been admitted off the waitlist, but why in the world would a school go to their waitlist before they've evaluated the rest of their applicants?

Re: Maryland Applicants c/o 2015
So I got a call Wednesday as well. I'm pretty sure the woman said "I'm pleased to offer you a seat on our waitlist". I told her I received the email weeks ago and sent an email saying I wasn't interested. Now I'm confused. She did offer me a seat OFF the waitlist? Either way I didn't want to go but now I'm confused. I was shocked to be waitlisted in the first place.

I'm feeling anxious...
If you look, everyone WL/Accepted have LSAT's around 162-ish. My theory is that Maryland received fewer applicants than they anticipated so they're dipping into their waitlists to maintain their medians.

I can understand that, but myself along with another guy a few posts back were signifcantly above 162 (I'm at 169, but my GPA is in the crapper)pret wrote:I'm feeling anxious...

I see 3 people on law school numbers that have now been accepted off the waitlist and they all seem to have ~mid160s lsat scores and low 3's for gpa. I am hoping I will get a call soon!!!!
