The bar that we all go to is called Macado's, it's right on Main Street. A lot of the restaurants in town are good. The Southern Inn, the Bistro, and the Sheridan are more upscale/pricier. Salerno's on Jefferson has good pizza. There are others...you'll see them since the town is so small that it's hard to miss anything. Just check out this website http://www.lexingtonvirginia.com/

I submitted all my applications this month, and have already heard back from four. W&L is the first of my Top 50. (In at Hofstra, California Western and Villanova)

anyone else thinking of flying into charlottesville for the february open house weekend? i'm coming from california and it's a lot cheaper than going into roanoke. if you find yourself in such a predicament, let me know if you'd like to go in on a car rental. the more the merrier (cheaper, too).

also - anyone know if W&L will provide free shuttle service from any of the surrounding airports?

I think the email said that they would provide a shuttle from Roanoke.

rollin stag. On a related note, has anyone heard back from W&L after signing up for a ASW? I'm wondering if I should call to get confirmation that I am indeed registered and I didnt f it up.

Yes, I got an e-mail confirmation from them immediately after I registered.

You'll know exactly when to expect a decision. W&L is by far the best admissions process of them all. They'll tell you the exact day, and time.
