I am heading to the ASD on the 18th. Its a casual thing right?

FWIW I went to the ASD in March, and I wouldn't say that it was totally casual. I would dress somewhere in the middle because I thought the people in jeans looked underdressed and some people were obviously overdressed in suits.

The lunch was also really nice, banquet style with professors at each table so I would dress at least a little nice.

dude, its san diego, asds are for shorts and sandals. maybe if youre there to grill profs about future letters of rec based on projected performance or ask other students for their parents' business cards...then maybe, but otherwise...

Did anyone get a scholarship before filling out the Institutional Financial Aid form? Or rather, did anyone receive money only after having filled that out?

As far as I understand, you don't have to fill that out before you get your scholly money letter. That being said, I'm still waiting on mine...

Curious here too. DR 4/12 (after almost 4 months) and it says "letter mailed." Did yours say that... even though you got email WL?

I was waitlisted. My status checker never said DR. Just said waitlisted. And no letter - just e-mail.

Ok. So I guess a letter is either victory or defeat.

Fine with me, the last thing I need is another WL

Decision rendered 04/15/11... I imagine I will be getting the letter by next Monday or Tuesday. Whether it will be a big letter or a small letter remains to be seen...

Just mail. Got DR Monday before last and the envelope the Thursday after. I actually thought I wasn't going to get in since I hadn't received any emails, so I definitely was surprised to see the giant envelope. Good luck!

Does anyone know the process for receiving the USD Law School grants? Is it based on the app, fafsa, or that institutional form? I'm not talking merit-based scholarships but the need-based grants that apparently are 18,000 at the median. Thanks!
