True, but I mean, what else are we going to talk about until admissions decisions come? I figure I should be ready if I should get so lucky.

also what might really sell me is that all the rooms have their own bathrooms, i.e. a 4 bedroom room would have a common area/kitchen +1 common bathroom +4 bedrooms + 4 private bathrooms...
I had a private bathroom for a grand total of 5 weeks out of my life, and it was seriously awesome.

Have to concur on the bathroom part. Like I said, little things like that make it seem like it is not so much like a dorm. The Stig wrote:also what might really sell me is that all the rooms have their own bathrooms, i.e. a 4 bedroom room would have a common area/kitchen +1 common bathroom +4 bedrooms + 4 private bathrooms...

haha my ps went something like: I studied abroad. The dorm had private bathrooms. I now have $10,000 to pay back in loans for that experience. I want to be a lawyer so I can pay back that loan somedayGotYourselfAStewGoin wrote:I'm sure that made a great personal statement. The Stig wrote:I had a private bathroom for a grand total of 5 weeks out of my life, and it was seriously awesome.

Under review as of 12/14-Good luck all!!!
In my experience, the biggest single perk of living alone (not by choice- teaching in a rural area abroad) has been the private bathroom

I really hope there some more acceptances before SLS shuts down for Christmas. Even if one isn't mine (which it won't be), it would be nice to see more of what Stanford's acceptance pool looks like for the year. After all, what will we overanalyze for the next 2-3 weeks??

The 5th bathroom is really stupid, though. I'm fairly certain that Charlie hired a drunk to design Munger. The Stig wrote:also what might really sell me is that all the rooms have their own bathrooms, i.e. a 4 bedroom room would have a common area/kitchen +1 common bathroom +4 bedrooms + 4 private bathrooms...

As a reapplicant I needed to have one new LOR and I got one. LSAC sent it to them like a month ago. Checked status checker today and it still showed incomplete. Had to call them to make sure they got the letter and my status changed for under review. Not sure if this means I was under review this whole time and they just forgot to update my file or that they forgot to submit my application for review. If its the latter I'll be pissed.

Let's assume high numbers and good softs. When is it possible that I might receive a call, and thus should start thinking about it? Any November admits yet?kazu wrote:Nah, I think for SLS softs are more important. Their #s are relatively pretty low compared to their peers. Friday is officially 170 day for SLS. What a Christmas gift.r6_philly wrote:

Well 170 IS the median, so we are actually in the sweet spot. I just hope it is ALSO the mode.cardinals1989 wrote:Friday is officially 170 day for SLS. What a Christmas gift.r6_philly wrote:

But in all seriousness, you seem to have some pretty good softs, of which I have few to none.

Seriously that's why I have some hope. I feel like I got in only Berkeley and UT at this point because they both pride themselves on IP. I hope Stanford feels the same about me.
But softs are so hit or miss, maybe my softs are not impressive in their eyes?

Yay for false hope. SLS's admissions graph is ridiculous.
